My goal going into New Orleans (NOLA) was simply to meet maybe slightly beat my IM Augusta 70.3 time, so I needed to beat 6:25:39. I would have been happy with 6:25 flat. The weather was going to be hot and humid, and there was a possibility of rain leading up to the race, so I kept my expectations low. Peak Racing Team in NOLA. The best support crew around. Kendall began playing volleyball at age 12 with San Gabriel Elite on its training team (having missed tryouts by days for the 12-U’s). She quickly progressed to the 13-2 team as its starting middle blocker and is currently on the 14-1 team, having transitioned to outside hitter as her natural abilities dictated. Her current team ended last year’s season as 2nd in all of Southern California for the 14-U’s.
