Coping With Mediocrity: May 2008
http://copingwithmediocrity.blogspot.com/2008_05_01_archive.html
Hyperbole Fitted As Standard. Friday, 23 May 2008. Facebook, you've gone too far! It's bad enough that facebook seems to have decided to bombard me with dating site ads, it now seems to be mocking me. Stop Browsing Profiles', it accuses. '24 and Still Single? Ok, so I only have myself to blame. I've put my age and 'relationship status' on my profile, I gave it that. It might even have kept track of how long I've been single, how many female friends I have and how much I talk to them- fair enough. Well, t...

Coping With Mediocrity: Yeah, well...
http://copingwithmediocrity.blogspot.com/2009/04/yeah-well.html
Hyperbole Fitted As Standard. Thursday, 2 April 2009. Hmmm, yes, it's been a while. Finally got round to posting my Gran Torino review. And have started daily haikus on twitter (all being well, they should appear on your right)- let's see how long that lasts. In other news/excuses for not posting for ages, I went skiing and managed to destroy most of the skin on my face through exposure to intense UV radiation swiftly followed by icy blasts. And I got to say 'my face! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Coping With Mediocrity: Do as I say
http://copingwithmediocrity.blogspot.com/2009/02/do-as-i-say.html
Hyperbole Fitted As Standard. Sunday, 22 February 2009. Do as I say. I just know you've been dying to hear my personal view on whether you would like Benjamin Button. If not, then I'll tell you anyway- epic, not Gump-lite (I hate that term anyway- if you're going to belittle things by comparing them unfavourably to other more or less similar things at least use real words) but slightly mis-sold. It was almost overshadowed by the trailer for Gran Torino. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Do as I say.

Delicious Blogging: The 36th Chamber
http://deliciousblogging.blogspot.com/2016/04/the-36th-chamber.html
In which a fellow blogs. May not actually be delicious, I've never tried eating it. Monday, April 11, 2016. I've just finished watching The 36th Chamber of Shaolin. And it was rather good. I would recommend it. Though the ending was bizarrely abrupt - I assumed there was some footage missing, but I can't find any corroboration to that on the interwubs. Which I managed to stick about twenty minutes of before giving up. Good lord, RZA, Good lord. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). View my complete profile.

Delicious Blogging: My films of 2016
http://deliciousblogging.blogspot.com/2017/01/my-films-of-2016.html
In which a fellow blogs. May not actually be delicious, I've never tried eating it. Sunday, January 08, 2017. My films of 2016. With inevitability. And a little late. And, as ever, possibly including a film or two from 2015. A wonderfully odd movie, this, of the sort that runs on its own screwy set of rules in such a matter-of-fact way that it all seems perfectly reasonable when you’re watching it. In presenting romance as a legal obligation rather than a worthwhile pursuit, it neatly satirises societal ...

In which a fellow blogs. May not actually be delicious, I've never tried eating it. Sunday, January 08, 2017. My films of 2016. With inevitability. And a little late. And, as ever, possibly including a film or two from 2015. Sunday, January 01, 2017. Are non-fiction, books. Are ones I gave up on. By Kate Atkinson (not sure if I'd already started this one or not when 1 January rolled around). The Road to Little Dribbling. A History of the World in 100 Objects. Futuristic Violence and Fancy Suits. I am a...

Delicious Blogging: Hmm
http://deliciousblogging.blogspot.com/2016/05/hmm.html
In which a fellow blogs. May not actually be delicious, I've never tried eating it. Sunday, May 08, 2016. Just finished episode 4 of Life is Strange. And I'm not sure about the SHOCKING TWIST in its last moments. The events of episode 5 may yet prove to justify it but at present it seems like a SHOCKING TWIST for the sake of a SHOCKING TWIST, rather than one that was properly seeded through the plot's earlier motions. We shall see. Labels: CAPS LOCK ENABLED. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). I am a fool.

Delicious Blogging: Steins;Gate 100% CG
http://deliciousblogging.blogspot.com/2016/02/steinsgate-100-cg.html
In which a fellow blogs. May not actually be delicious, I've never tried eating it. Monday, February 22, 2016. Steins;Gate 100% CG. I just platinumed my copy of Steins;Gate. On PS3 and since I had real trouble working out how to get the 100% CG trophy I thought I'd make a note here. I have this YouTube vid to thank for it. Labels: el psy kongroo.
