Tea on Tap

Saturday, March 23, 2013. Not in the same cup. Although looking at today's title, it doesn't seem like such a bad idea to try. A nice, sweet fruity taste paired.maybe not with traditional Lapsang, but a lighter smokey tea, like Bohea or Black Dragon? That includes dried raspberries. I wasn't sure if that would work, since the leaves have more of the substance that's supposed to help, but I mixed a bit of it with the Harney and Son's Supreme Breakfast that I'm not fond of, and it both improved that te...

Tea on Tap: Disclaimer

http://teaontap.blogspot.com/p/disclaimer.html

The reviews on this site are merely my opinions on teas and teaware I've experienced first-hand. I post my honest opinions, both positive and negative. Your mileage may (and probably will) vary. I have sold some tea descriptions since this blog began, but none of those have been or will be posted on this blog. Tea and teaware not purchased by me will be noted clearly as such in the review. Tea on Tap: Review Policy

http://teaontap.blogspot.com/p/review-policy.html

I will review any kind of tea, but please be aware that I prefer loose or cake (compressed) teas as opposed to bagged tea. The notable exception of course is tea powder (such as Matcha). Herbal tisanes (rooibos, honeybush) are welcome in any form. In all cases, submitting tea does not guarantee a positive review. Reviews will be scheduled as time permits, and in no particular order. Tea on Tap: Tea 9-1-1!

http://teaontap.blogspot.com/2013/02/tea-9-1-1.html

Saturday, February 9, 2013. Okay, okay. So it's nothing so dramatic as that (for foreign readers, 9-1-1 is our emergency number here in the states). But my tea words project has fallen behind, sadly. I need new teas. Better variety. More single estates. Something exciting and new! I've been out of good Yunnan teas for months now.along with Black Dragon Pearls (Adagio), and I have one teaspoon of keemun left. One! It's getting tragic around here, I tell ya. What's your must-have tea? Subscribe to: Post Co...

Tea on Tap: Harvest Spice from The Tea Spot

http://teaontap.blogspot.com/2013/02/harvest-spice-from-tea-spot.html

Saturday, February 16, 2013. Harvest Spice from The Tea Spot. I didn't do tea words last week again - and I'm actually disappointed in that. I'm not giving up on the project. I just need to set up a reminder for a few days until it becomes a habit. I didn't get any tea ordered last weekend either, but it's on my list for this morning. Now I'm getting down to the teas in my cupboard that I've set aside for whatever reason (normally because I either didn't like them, or something put me off. So this mornin...

Tea Sites & Blogs. Archive for November, 2007. What a Spankin’ Good Idea! My friend Ido, who runs the blog Divine Tastes. Recently brought a great website to my attention. It’s called FreeRice.com. And it has one of the most novel and noble concepts around. You simply answer vocabulary questions. For each one you get right, you ‘earn’ 10 grains of rice. The rice you earn is then used to feed the world’s hungry. November 18, 2007 at 1:24 pm. Updates and New Toys! November 1, 2007 at 7:04 pm. Subjective ra...

Mad About Hats: Review: Republic of Tea Pink Grapefruit Green Tea

http://madabouthats.blogspot.com/2008/02/review-republic-of-tea-pink-grapefruit.html

A bright idea came into Alice's head. "Is that the reason so many tea-things are put out here? She asked. "Yes, that's it," said the Hatter with a sigh: "it's always tea-time, and we've no time to wash the things between whiles.". Thursday, February 21, 2008. Review: Republic of Tea Pink Grapefruit Green Tea. Would I feel like a jerk then. But then I got to thinking, why should I blame myself for telling it like it is? Why shouldn't I push the blame back to the source? Let's look at some facts. Several p...

For this reason, it is critical to gather the blossoms at the right time. Ideally, they are picked at noon in order to bring them to the tea factory around 4:00pm. There they are stored for a few hours in a warm room to encourage the development of the aroma, and then the production of jasmine tea begins around 8:00pm. I’ve been very lucky to stumble upon a gorge...

Tea Sites & Blogs. At Long Last…The Perfect Scone! October 25, 2007 at 11:41 pm. I cook. I cook a lot. I make almost everything completely from scratch, and it’s almost always excellent. There are, however, some things that I hate to make and avoid like the plague. One of them is the scone. 1 cups all-purpose flour. 2 tsp baking powder. 5 Tbs butter (pref. unsalted). Cup optional ‘add ins’. Egg wash: 1 egg dash of water/milk. Preheat the oven to 400ºF. In a large bowl (in my case, my Kitchen Aid mixer&#8...

Slightly salty cherry leaves are blended into green tea, presenting a fresh clean taste. You will feel as if you are surrounded by young cherry leaves swaying in a balmy breeze.
