Tomorrow's Yesterday: December 2011
http://tomorrowsyesterday2005.blogspot.com/2011_12_01_archive.html
Today is a gift. Saturday, December 31, 2011. Can anyone look back at the end of any year and say, "Well, I saw all of that coming! Maybe some people can. So far, that's not really how things turn out for me. Maybe I actually know more than I think I do. Maybe that's why it's a little bit intimidating. Let's hope my resolve to appreciate all that life has to offer lasts a little longer. It's been 2012 for a little over half an hour now, and I am ready for my first night's sleep this year! Andrea's Cute k...

TREES WITH LEAVES: August 2014
http://treeswithleaves.blogspot.com/2014_08_01_archive.html
Monday, August 25, 2014. Jonah turned five this summer (yes, we have lots of summer birthdays.) We tried to take his annual pictures several times over the last month or two, basically any time we went somewhere pretty, but none of them worked out like I wanted. We did get a few that are useable at unexpected moments though. What do you think? I also kind of like this one from the same day. It's very zen, even with the blurry leg. D This group was the most disappointing. The light was so pretty, I wa...

TREES WITH LEAVES: October 2014
http://treeswithleaves.blogspot.com/2014_10_01_archive.html
Wednesday, October 15, 2014. Yay, Elora is nine years old! I took a bunch at the top right location, but her brothers kept getting in the shot and I didn't feel like editing them out multiple times.). This spot had the coolest light. I love the way the trees are, the way her shirt hangs, and the light on her head. Her hair is hanging weird and her smile isn't the best, but this is still one of my favorites! When she's looking at the leaf, she was pretending to observe it as I came up to her (posing, tota...

TREES WITH LEAVES: April 2014
http://treeswithleaves.blogspot.com/2014_04_01_archive.html
Saturday, April 26, 2014. Easter weekend was full of Easter stuff of course, which I will divulge eventually. But it also marked the beginning of sunset season, simply because there were two sunsets that were pretty spectacular right in a row that weekend. Next week it's supposed to snow and be gray again, but we won't talk about that. I tried to take a few pictures with the kids too, but.meh. They were in fake smile mode.except of course, the shot I got without the sunset in it. Saturday, April 26, 2014.

Tomorrow's Yesterday: August 2011
http://tomorrowsyesterday2005.blogspot.com/2011_08_01_archive.html
Today is a gift. Thursday, August 04, 2011. Losses part 2: When Things Might Have Been. Can you miss something you've never had? A casual friend of mine asked this question on her facebook page a few months back. She was referring to missing a deadline to register for the Boston Marathon, which she wanted to run, but my own mind went directly to my own missed experiences, and I answered "yes." To me, this is what grief is. I was so happy to have a perfect little boy added to our family! Fisher and a litt...

Tomorrow's Yesterday: June 2011
http://tomorrowsyesterday2005.blogspot.com/2011_06_01_archive.html
Today is a gift. Tuesday, June 28, 2011. A Little Bit of Luxury. When we moved and I was unpacking our master bathroom, I started thinking that the room needed something more. It has white walls and neutral counters and floors. White sinks, white tub and toilet and big mirrors reflecting all the whiteness! And guess what color my towels were? Was it on my list? I probably didn't need. Even if it is the bathroom! Monday, June 27, 2011. A Day in This Life. Anyway, here it is! 7:30 ish. After talking to...

Tomorrow's Yesterday: A Special Gift
http://tomorrowsyesterday2005.blogspot.com/2012/06/special-gift.html
Today is a gift. Monday, June 25, 2012. Earlier this month was the birthday of a very special boy. His name is Riley. Riley is our cousin's son who died unexpectedly after only 4 months with his mom and dad. This year, to celebrate his birthday, his mom asked friends and family to remember him by giving the gift of service to someone around us. They are all finished up now, and I will be calling the social worker to see when I can drop them off. I learned it from! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

TREES WITH LEAVES: Josh's quilt
http://treeswithleaves.blogspot.com/2015/06/joshs-quilt.html
Wednesday, June 17, 2015. Josh got a quilt for his birthday that I made over the last few months. Basically, it's all top stitched , but doubly so that the stitches don't come undone. Anywhere the material might fray, I pulled it apart myself so it would add some texture, and be less tempting for Josh to pick apart himself. The back is a striped blue material and the yarn is light blue. I made most of the patches long, and I used a bunch of black jeans too. Wednesday, June 17, 2015. 6:43 AM, June 18, 2015.

TREES WITH LEAVES: January 2015
http://treeswithleaves.blogspot.com/2015_01_01_archive.html
Wednesday, January 07, 2015. River Merida was born at the end of last month, and we are so happy to have her home! Due to jaundice issues, she and I had to go back and stay at the hospital another two nights beyond the first three day stay, and it was really hard on her to not be held very much. She really hated the eye mask she had to wear, because she loves to look around! Wednesday, January 07, 2015. 6 friends share their thoughts. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). View my complete profile.

TREES WITH LEAVES: June 2014
http://treeswithleaves.blogspot.com/2014_06_01_archive.html
Friday, June 27, 2014. Elora helped me finish a big project this month. Can you tell what it is? Yep, it's a jean quilt! We don't have any stretcher bars or fancy equipment to make it really nice and smooth, and the lines of yarn aren't exactly even, but it's done. Yay! I started putting squares together for this quilt about four years ago! This is the rumpliest section of the quilt, mostly because when I was sewing the edge I didn't notice the thread had run out, and when I re-sewed it I didn't repin it...
