Caro's Lines: Crackers For Christmas
http://caroslines.blogspot.com/2014/12/crackers-for-christmas.html
Blogging along on my journey to wherever it is I'm going. Saturday, December 13, 2014. One of the things I associate most with Christmas Dinner is the pulling of crackers - after they've been snapped comes the random assignment of funny little gifts - the donning of paper hats that don't quite fit and of course the reading out of bad jokes. Next stage is to undo them, pop the snap into the cracker along with paper hat (not shown), joke and gift. Reform and tie with ribbons. One, two, three - Crack! Thank...

http://caroslines.blogspot.com/2015_04_01_archive.html
Blogging along on my journey to wherever it is I'm going. Sunday, April 19, 2015. I've been blowing bubbles with Jackson's Indian Ink. On paper and encaustic:. I would never have tried this with previous indian inks as they are relatively expensive - the Jackson's Indian Ink. Is however very economical and comes in a large bottle making it easy to play with. Though its success did lead me to try some of my more expensive ones too. Update 10 August 2016: Please note that the link to the ink will take you ...

http://caroslines.blogspot.com/2010_03_01_archive.html
Blogging along on my journey to wherever it is I'm going. Monday, March 22, 2010. Attempting to manipulate translucent polymer clay. Over the last two days I've been struggling with some translucent polymer clay (Cernit) it was VERY soft, even after spending the night in the fridge. it made it impossible to use as I'd planned in thin slices. so I had to adapt what I was doing. these two are the results. These are also the first pieces that I've attempted to sand and polish. Links to this post. Well you p...

Blogging along on my journey to wherever it is I'm going. Thursday, January 12, 2012. This morning I saw a bright red van promising "the most fun kids can have" and as I was taking a photo of it I happened to also get a yellow house and a blue car in the picture too. three primaries converging. it felt like a good start to the day that I was expecting my encaustic paints to arrive! http://caroslines.blogspot.com/2009_07_01_archive.html
Blogging along on my journey to wherever it is I'm going. Tuesday, July 21, 2009. Yin-Yang, Light and the Moon. I seem to have difficulty keeping my blog up-to-date in the summer. you can see from my archives that it is a repeating cycle. yet in the winter its much easier. So this may, or may not, be a post that will have to stand alone for a while. At least I've a few photos (mine and others) to decorate it with. Another photo I've taken recently is of the Paddington Bear statue at Paddington station:.

Blogging along on my journey to wherever it is I'm going. Thursday, August 20, 2009. The Book of the Beasts. This is the cover of a book I've just made, inspired by Mary Ann Moss's. Stiched and Stencilled class. The class got me going though I went a way off from the suggestions - all part of the fun! All the Celtic Knot type stencils came from a set I bought recently from a local art shop. The horse comes from a children's stencil set from the local toy shop. You may be able to see inside the book here:.
