Labour of Love: April 2012
http://andersonlabouroflove.blogspot.com/2012_04_01_archive.html
Friday, 27 April 2012. The grass is always greener. So remember when our front yard looked like this? Well we were eager to do something about that. So my friend and I took on the labour intensive task of raking up all the mulch one day when Zach was at work. It took us about 5 hours, and by the end of it we could barely even carry a conversation with one another due to exhaustion. It was a huge undertaking but we kicked butt. And those three bushes were ones that we were able to save from the original m...

Labour of Love: March 2012
http://andersonlabouroflove.blogspot.com/2012_03_01_archive.html
Thursday, 29 March 2012. You old Prune you. Last week spring had certainly arrived here, which meant we couldn't put off the beginnings of our backyard makeover any longer. I feel like our backyard could be cast as the setting for a post apocalyptic film. Honest. It really does look like civilization just got up and walked away and let things get out of control. But upon closer inspection we found some signs of life! We removed all the wood and the aftermath was U-G-L-Y. It was worse than we thought,...

Labour of Love: September 2012
http://andersonlabouroflove.blogspot.com/2012_09_01_archive.html
Tuesday, 18 September 2012. See what I mean? Sort of goofy, and yes the tape residue "E" doesn't help. The sad part is that I have lived with that "E" for a year now and have never made any attempts to remove it. Pretty embarrassing, but I knew if I removed it before taking these photos I would be a huge phoney. Anyways, after some "research" on Pinterest we decided that we would attempt a DIY custom door project. We used a Brad nailer to secure our trim rectangles so that they wouldn't be budging anytim...

Labour of Love: August 2012
http://andersonlabouroflove.blogspot.com/2012_08_01_archive.html
Monday, 6 August 2012. Sorry, it's been a "tile". I thought it would be easier to keep up with the blog once I was out of school for the summer, but I was completely wrong! After pulling up the hideous orange linoleum back in October the bottom of the stairs was looking pretty hairy with just bare concrete exposed. We weren't sure if we wanted to continue with laminate wood flooring, or if we wanted to try our hand at tiling. After mulling it over we decided it might be nice to tackle some tiling...After...

Labour of Love: June 2012
http://andersonlabouroflove.blogspot.com/2012_06_01_archive.html
Monday, 18 June 2012. Some may know already about my interest in pallet crafting. It is a sort of strange interest admittedly, but there is something about the idea of using all that free wood and turning it into something full of rustic greatness. If you follow me on Pinterest. You definitely know that many of my pins include things one can do with pallets. We all have our vices. So here is where my pallet lust has led me recently. We started out with this gorgeous blank. We didn't have a strategy when ...

Labour of Love: January 2012
http://andersonlabouroflove.blogspot.com/2012_01_01_archive.html
Thursday, 26 January 2012. Zach is back at work, and my life has been looking a lot like this lately. Combined with a little bit of this. We've been putting off mounting the cabinetry in the laundry room because I wanted to paint the big wall first. So while in Home Depot we grabbed some bright paint chips, rushed home and checked them out, picked a winner and then hurried back to the depot and bought a gallon! We're leaning towards mounting them on the troublesome fourth wall because, well we have no ot...

Labour of Love: November 2011
http://andersonlabouroflove.blogspot.com/2011_11_01_archive.html
Wednesday, 30 November 2011. A Break from Renos. There has been a lot less renovations around here lately and it has been making me feel extremely ansy. Zach is working like a crazy person, and I am just wrapping up the fall semester at school so we have been pretty busy. We're hoping to get back on the band wagon soon and build our custom closet organizer. In the mean time I've been trying to re-organize. Here's the disaster before. We had 2 half empty boxes of band-aids, why? Yes, I am a freak. But...
