Film to the metal sheet to be etched. 4 Expose the film via UV (Ultraviolet) light to transfer the piece part photographically to the previously treated sheet of metal. 5 Develop the metal sheet thereby exposing the piece part image. 6 The removal of unwanted metal by controlled acid attack.

Photo-chemical milling technology used in the fabrication of the sheet metal has the following advantages:. A Parts produced are stress and burr free. B Parts which are too complex, too thin and too small to be made by normal stamping can be produced without difficulty by this method. C The tooling cost is much cheaper than stamping die. Any design changes can be made possible at very low cost and fast. D Parts can be made at very short turn around time and even in small quantity.
