Century skills such as critical thinking, problem solving, communicating, collaborating, and creativity (referred to as four C’s) with core subjects such as language arts, mathematics, science, social studies, etc. (referred to as the three R’s). As an educator I can not disagree many students are graduating without critical 21.

From what I have experienced in this course it is true the use of a single instructional strategy across the board for all contents does not optimize student learning. By understanding the different theories of learning as well as instructional strategies I can create lessons that are not only engaging but also effective.
