These notes apply to the University of Washington imapd, which is what we recommend for "normal" server at Rutgers. There are enough peculiarites about setting up imapd, and it's so badly documented, that it seems worth having a few notes. A minimal imapd installation is easy enough: Put imapd in /usr/local/sbin.
