TECHknitter: Why change of orientation method of making left leaning decreases does not work for me

http://techknitter.blogspot.com/2007/10/why-change-of-orientation-method-of.html

Return to TECHknitting blog. Why change of orientation method of making left leaning decreases does not work for me. The only reason I am analyzing the "change in orientation" option for making left leaning decreases in such exhaustive detail is that I was specifically asked by a reader whether I thought this was a good solution. Sadly, I don't- it doesn't work very well for me, and here are the three reasons I believe that is. RETURN TO MAIN ARTICLE BY CLICKING HERE.

TECHknitter: March 2008

http://techknitter.blogspot.com/2008_03_01_archive.html

Return to TECHknitting blog. Why you can change the length of the top stripe (spot) on the pocket hats. This is a click-through from post 4 of "pocket hats". The last color of the pocket hats goes across the whole hat top. It creates a stripe in profile, but, seen from above, this last color actually makes a spot, not a stripe, per the opening photo of post 4 of the pocket hat KAL. Because of cultural advancements, we are willing to accept even a 3/4 face as a "profile. This climb up the ladder of percep...

Spinknitty: June 2011

http://spinknitty.blogspot.com/2011_06_01_archive.html

A place to talk about knitting and spinning - where my husband and kids don't have to pretend they care. Wednesday, June 15, 2011. The sock goes to camp. Since my last post, I finally got a chance to go camping. Over Memorial Day weekend, Caroline and I went to Ft. Custer with my brother and his family. And I got to spend some quality time in the shower house with about 75 new friends. We were invited there by the tornado warning on Sunday. And then she gave it to me! Next post - new sock, warmer weather.

Under Victoria's Hat: October 2010

http://undervictoriashat.blogspot.com/2010_10_01_archive.html

Oct 26, 2010. Crochet: No Longer the Ugly Step-Sister. I've always thought Crochet was a beautiful craft worthy of a hell of a lot more respect than what it typically receives. Unfortunately, it has taken a back seat to it's traditionally more glamorous sister, Knitting. What is old is new again. An amazing piece of work, at approximately 5 ' by 9'. Can you believe the detail? Young Man, are you sure you are trying it on the right foot? Great sweaters accentuate the wearer's body. Gone are the days o...

To Do Lists | Knit, Inc

https://knitinc.wordpress.com/2014/02/16/to-do-lists

So Much For Lists. St Brigid’s Day. On: February 16, 2014. I love lists. If I’m not making one, I’m crossing things off one. I’ve found that as I’m getting older and particularly with my current stressful situation, if I don’t put something on a list it will invariably be forgotten. One other thing I’ve noticed is how little I do for myself. Take for example my current list of knitting projects:. 2 Knit a vest for my Dad for his birthday on March 10. I’m off work this week (can I get a yay? I definitely ...

Vertiginous | Knit, Inc

https://knitinc.wordpress.com/2014/03/02/vertiginous

So Much For Lists. On: March 2, 2014. Since about last Sunday I’ve been feeling increasingly dizzy. Last week it all came to a head, so to speak. I had to walk across town to a meeting and I crossed a bridge over the river. It felt like the whole bridge was moving under my feet. I must have looked drunk, I was clinging to the rails for dear life! Driving home that day was frankly dangerous. Every time I turned a corner the whole world swung round. Phew, talk about cutting it close! About 1.2 skeins.
