temperature | Technically, Brewing.

October 16, 2014 · 9:41 am. Temperature Data, Part I. I brewed a pumpkin ale on October 5 and have had it in an old refrigerator controlled by a Johnson Controls A19AAT-2C thermostat ever since. I finally got around to installing two digital temperature sensors a couple of days ago:. One inside the fridge and one hanging outside to measure ambient temperature. Now that a full 24-hour period has passed, I have some data! 688°F (20.4°C). 710°F (21.7°C). Updated 05/20/2015 @ 07:30. Method Brewery SRM to RGB.

September 26, 2014 · 10:27 am. Extract to Grain Conversion. Last night I was putting together a new recipe for this year’s Pumpkin Ale. Back in 2012 I made a decent one. With dried malt extract, but since I’ve stepped up to all-grain brewing I need to convert the recipe from extract to all-grain. I came across this old article at BYO. On converting an amount of extract to an equivalent amount of grain, and there’s a technical aspect of this that I like. It goes something like this:. And I say “self...

September 26, 2014 · 10:12 am. The DraughtKeg is a proprietary 5-liter package of beer. That appears to be from Heineken and is pressurized with an internal CO2 cartridge. It comes with a few plastic pieces used to serve beer directly from the keg, but it is also compatible with the Krupps BeerTender. The DraughtKeg with the included tap installed. It's a pretty simple two-piece design. Tap removed. This is how it comes; the two-piece tap is packaged on top of the keg but is easy to install. Proudly powe...

A lifestyle blog where I chit-chat about my personal style, favorite things, day-to-day experiences and anything that comes to mind :). Remember The Sunset – Half Moon Bay, CA. Sometimes, you just need a beach! I went with my two really good friends for dinner at a Peruvian restaurant, La Costanera. There’s something about beaches that are mentally refreshing and reseting. And we all need time to ‘just be’ more often than we give ourselves. XO, N. Oh my, it’s been awhile! Hope you are well! This stuff is...

Technically bored
Rambling trains of thought of a generally demented, always nerdy, mostly crazy and rarely lucid being. The human is questionable, but the insanity is for real. Monday, June 30, 2014. All through these year my 'paati'. And listen to concerts on the TV. By the time I was in the third-year of my engineering I was able to identify a handful of ragams, I had my favorite songs ('Alaipayuthey', 'Vaatapi Ganapathim' and 'Endaro') and I could occasionally identify songs that had the same ragam ('Nagumomu' and...
