4C The Future: All I Wanted for Christmas was an Atari
http://joelschleicher.blogspot.com/2016/12/all-i-wanted-for-christmas-was-atari.html
Tuesday, December 13, 2016. All I Wanted for Christmas was an Atari. I think it was in 1982, my Dad and Mom finally relented. But, rather than going with the Atari, they purchased a Texas Instruments TI-99/4A home computer. While not an Atari, I warmed up to the purchase after I learned it had game cartridge and joystick capabilities. We hooked it up to our TV through the VHS antenna and played games. It turns out, one of the best Christmas gifts I received was NOT receiving the Atari. I appreciate m...

Technology, Curriculum, Integration, Instruction, Innovation. Sunday, September 28, 2014. On Friday, we had professional development. The focus was on Common Core Literacy, specifically “Speaking and Listening”. As I listened to the first speaker talk about listening with respect, I found myself thinking about her and if she listens to others with respect, does she listen carefully to herself, and more importantly to the message she is sending to others? The mid-semester innovations slump seems to be upon us here in the basement. We have had a few failures, a few successes, but now it is time to take what we have learned and do something amazing. Why are we even here? What are we good at? How can I align those passions and skills with a problem that lies ahead? Should I take it down?
