Deep Thoughts... about 23 Things

This Day in History. Sunday, April 11, 2010. I wasn't looking forward to the whole blogging thing, at first. I am now pretty used to it and understand its purpose for this experience. Do I think I'd ever keep one myself? Screencast was another great one! I think this format for learning was brilliant! Thank you technology coaches for leading the way! And thanks to those of you brave people that chose to read my babbling! Thing 22: Our Turn. I downloaded it and reviewed it. It's purpose is to be a saf...

Deep Thoughts... about 23 Things: Thing 8 New Start Page

http://techyintraining.blogspot.com/2010/02/thing-8-nwe-start-page.html

This Day in History. Saturday, February 6, 2010. Thing 8 New Start Page. This was the best Thing yet! I have to admit I am a bit overwhelmed in the sense that I'm not sure how I feel about this compared to Google Reader. It seems that it could almost replace Google Reader since you can import any RSS feed here instead. Does anyone have a reason you would use Reader instead? Am I missing something? I think the students would have a BLAST doing this! I hope the rest of the Things are as fun as this one!

Deep Thoughts... about 23 Things: Thing 10: Mashups

http://techyintraining.blogspot.com/2010/02/thing-10-mashups.html

This Day in History. Thursday, February 18, 2010. This one is soooooo very cool! I watched the video which gave me some understanding as to how they are set up but definitely not enough for me to create my own. But I did enjoy perusing the shared ones. So I thought I'd be an overachiever and try to find a new Mashup. I visited. Http:/ www.programmableweb.com/mashups. Another site I stumbled upon, which I loved, was. Http:/ www.k12handhelds.com/mashups/. Another mashup resourse,. You found and listed thre...

Deep Thoughts... about 23 Things: Thing 18: Own Wiki

http://techyintraining.blogspot.com/2010/03/thing-18-own-wiki.html

This Day in History. Friday, March 12, 2010. Thing 18: Own Wiki. I definitely think the levels for this project were a good idea! I found contributing to the Sandbox was fairly easy. I did try to include a weather widget but ran into some issues so I had to abandon the idea. Next, I tackled the Sacred Heart information on the Wikipedia. Whoa! I noticed our Carrollton School also included notable alumnae. What a great PR move! March 22, 2010 at 4:56 AM. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Deep Thoughts... about 23 Things: Thing 5 LinkedIn

http://techyintraining.blogspot.com/2010/02/thing-5-linkedin.html

This Day in History. Monday, February 1, 2010. Truth be told, I'm not sure how this networking would facilitate growth in my professional life. I can see in the groups there could be interesting articles or discussions that may lead to new ideas. I wonder if we could start a "group" for our Sacred Heart schools with subgroups so educators in similar grade levels or fields could share ideas easily? February 10, 2010 at 7:21 PM. Maybe it could help you find some writers for your writers workshop.
