Saturday, January 30, 2010. Dave and I celebrated our 15th anniversary with a trip to New Orleans this month. What a blast! A fabulous city with amazing, crazy food. We ate and drank way too much, but had a great time, despite the freeeezing weather (in the 20s! Sunday, November 1, 2009. A first for us this year.all dressing up! Halloween on a Saturday made for a weekend of fun. We had a neighborhood party, and then went to San Diego for a party at Kelley's brother John's house. Lots of hilarious costumes! Christopher and Shayla had a couple of days off from school last week for parent-teacher conferences, so we spent one of the days at Disneyland and California Adventure, thanks to Kelley's uncle Arpad, who works for Disney. Monday, March 29, 2010. Grammy visited for a week in March and got to spend lots of time in the warm weather, for a change! Shayla and Christopher both earned awards at the school awards ceremony: Shayla for "Respect" and Christopher for "Outstanding Effort and Achievement in Math.". Here is Shayla at her first piano recital in mid-December playing "Jingle Bells.". And here is Christopher playing "Oh Holy Night" at our Christmas Eve church service. Saturday, August 21, 2010. We were invited to join our neighbors and friends, the Padillas, at their timeshare in Hawaii, on the island of Kauai. We spent the first week of August in paradise and none of us wanted to come home. This was where we spent most of every day.the pool! Dads and kids at the pool working on their tans. She got to stay an extra day due to the bad weather in Wisconsin, so she was able to come to Christopher's bridging ceremony with Nana. Sunday, July 25, 2010. Christopher celebrated his birthday in style with lunch at the new Farrell's and then his first sleepover party with a few friends. We were so glad Grammy could be here this year to help us celebrate! I think we were the only family in the neighborhood without one. Not any longer! Christopher helped make the movie tickets on his cupcakes to go with the movie and sleepover theme. It was a fun time! First day of summer here, and off to a relaxing start, drawing out back in the shade.
