First Listen: Dan Fisk’s “Bruises from the Backseat”. June 30, 2011 ⋅. Dan Fisk is hard to pin down. On one hand, his crisp, but not overproduced, debut solo EP “Bruises from the Backseat,” is satellite radio-friendly (think The Coffee House. But within the course of this 6-track album, he shifts stylistically from late 90s / early 00s singer-songwriterdom to timeless country to acoustic funk and back again. Soulful harmonica solo on the Simon cover is an instrumental highlight, as is the Katie Chambers.
