Ted and Melinda 2011. Dear Family and Friends,. Melinda’s oldest brother, Alan, passed away last January. We all loved Alan as a great spiritual influence in our lives. Her brother Bryce sang the same song at his funeral that he sang at Alan and Joyce’s wedding reception 57 years prior. As always, we have many blessings to be thankful for. Tom graduated from Pharmacy school in June and passed all of the licensing and law exams to become a Pharmacist! We are so thrilled. I was born January 25, 1926 in a small town in Texas. I enlisted in the marine corps at the age of 17 and joined the fourth marine division after finishing boot camp in San Diego. My first campaign took me to the Marshall Islands and after that I returned to Maui on the Hawaiian islands. After several months of rough training the divison was sent to Iwo Jima. After 6 years in the marine corps I resigned my commission as a 2nd lieutenant.
