I had every intention of posting this before Christmas when I sent out a few Christmas cards. That obviously didn't happen but better late than never! I can't believe 2011 is almost over and that means we have to remember to write 2012 on everything in just a few short weeks. 2011 was such a great year and I have a feeling 2012 is going to be even better. Here are some highlights from 2011 for the Aravena family. To celebrate graduating, I decided to turn 23 a few days later. Cisco turned 27 in July!

Ethan thinks the funniest part is when Mr. Henshaw writes a new book called Moose on Toast. Ha ha ha ha ha. I can't wait to find out more. It's going to be great. Instead I'm just going to let my reading be organic. It's more enjoyable that way and guilt free. Guilt free is good. We'll see what happens in 2014. 1 Okay for Now. By Gary D. Schmidt. Played a major role in the story? Which is a huge compliment from me. 2 The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks. This book was fascinating!

From Left Field.Or the Moon. Sunday, August 21, 2011. Something I Learned From My Grandparents. I've had some neat opportunities to spend time with both sets of my grandparents this year. Those are times that I will always cherish and memories I will always love. In my conversations with them, though, I've noticed an interesting thread. Our conversations covered numerous topics, and they had some neat stories and insights, but some of their answers taught me in a way I wasn't expecting. Do I want it?
