Bassetts Farm Bakes: Viking Bay
http://bassettsfarm.blogspot.com/2009/03/viking-bay.html
Thursday, 19 March 2009. Originally uploaded by Pablo101. I found this beautiful photo on Flickr, in one of the groups I follow called Broadstairs. I just fell in love with this photo the moment I saw it. It's of one of my very favourite places in all the world - Viking Bay, Broadstairs, Kent. I have been to Viking Bay, and to that very spot where Paul must have been standing, hundreds and hundreds of times - and yet I've never seen it like that! Paul's photos make me happy - so I shall look at them ofte...

Bassetts Farm Bakes: Red Nose Day Cookies
http://bassettsfarm.blogspot.com/2009/03/red-nose-day-cookies.html
Thursday, 12 March 2009. Red Nose Day Cookies. Here they are. the Red Nose Day mini cookies I made for Archie to take to nursery tomorrow. You might notice there seem to be a couple missing from the first photo - that's because no matter how many times I told Archie he had to WAIT until I had taken the photos before he ate them - he could NOT resist sneaking a couple (thinking I wouldn't notice I guess! I am now putting off cleaning up the devastation that IS my kitchen! Hope you like the cookies. Smiley...

Scrumptious Sally: Raspberry Salted Caramel Cheesecake Brownies
http://www.scrumptioussally.com/2013/07/raspberry-salted-caramel-cheesecake.html
Baking and Blogging in London. Raspberry Salted Caramel Cheesecake Brownies. I'm going to have to think of a snappier title for these brownies, because I will certainly be making them again. Chocolate. I'd also made some dulce de leche earlier in the day, to go into a banoffee pie, then remembered too late that you need a whipped cream topping. Oh and some bananas that weren't green and unyielding. Rather than going to the local corner shop, this was my solution. If you don't have a brownie pan, use an 8...

Scrumptious Sally: Real Food Festival 2011: My Greatest Hits

Baking and Blogging in London. Real Food Festival 2011: My Greatest Hits. The Real Food Festival. Held in London this weekend, finally gave me an opportunity to try Gower Cottage Brownies. Brownies not pictured, because they are all gone! I'd heard nothing but superlatives about these brownies, but had shied away from buying a whole box without trying them first. My two other favourite sweet finds at the Real Food Festival, came from Auberge du Chocolat. Who'd been at the festival earlier in the week.

Baking and Blogging in London. Ive been feeling very sluggish and lazy over the past couple of weeks. Baking and cooking has given way to picking at leftovers, or plumping for cheese and crackers for tea, rather than standing at a stove. In an attempt to jump start my brain and body, Ive joined a gym. My local leisure centre has just been refurbished and in addition to treadmills etc., has a good pool and health suite, i.e. sauna and steam room. My Perfect Autumn Cake: Blackberry and Apple Crumble Cake.

Baking and Blogging in London. Spiced Almonds Recipe, June 2013 Round Up. I've found quite a few new things (new to me, anyway! This month, so I thought I'd share them with you. Bahlsen Choco Leibniz Orange Biscuits. Until this month, the only way I ate dates was by cooking them in porridge with sliced banana. Something about the way they look and feel had always put me off eating them as they come. But I was offered coffee, baklava and dates at a dinner I went to few weeks ago and I have been converted&...

Baking and Blogging in London. Very Berry Oatmeal Breakfast Muffins. Muffins: Fast and Fantastic. Is one of the first baking books I remember buying. Its a stalwart on Amazon, with deservedly glowing reviews. Most of the recipes have the same basic mix. The beauty of the book for the novice baker, is realising that once you master and memorise the core recipe, you can throw pretty much anything you fancy into the bowl. The Lazy Cook: Linguine with Chilli, Crab and Watercress for Forever Nigella 6.

Baking and Blogging in London. Breakfast Club #14: Potatoes. The Breakfast Club Potato Round Up is complete and can be found here. The British weather is living up to its' reputation as being a contrary little madam at the moment. My recollection was that last summer, we had a reasonably stable season, with a few rainy days, but mostly balmy and enjoyable. This summer, so far has been absolutely terrible! So this month's Breakfast Club. One of my Saturday Specials* when I was a child was pratie oaten.

Welcome to my kitchen. Saturday, 10 December 2011. I haven't posted since August. I've had a horrible 2011. It all started in January with my brother Bryan, he had flu over Christmas 2010, was admitted into hospital on the Sunday 2nd and I got the call on Tuesday to say that he wasn't expected to make it, he passed away on the Thursday of that same week. I'm not sure when I'm going to post here again but I post recipes on my Facebook page daily if you'd like to follow me. Tulip's Kitchen Facebook Page.

Welcome to my kitchen. Sunday, 10 July 2011. A Raucous Garden Party. I'm hosting my own 'Put Pork on your Fork' event. I've invited friends and family to bring some drink and hang out in my garden on Saturday 30th July and sample some of the fab recipes I'm going to try. First up will be. Rillettes of Pork with melba toast. Friends have been asked to bring their own tipple and if they bring children they have to be well behaved otherwise I will BBQ them. do you think that's too harsh? Good plan or what?
