Ratings Explained | Teen Book Review
https://teenbookreview.wordpress.com/ratings-explained
Reviews and News on Young Adult/Teen Fiction. I decided to watch my poll (about whether or not I should rate books on some sort of scale) until I got thirteen votes, and then decide if it was conclusive from there. Twelve of my thirteen voters voted in favor of ratings, so I guess I’m rating books. My scale will be out of six windows. Why? Because books are the windows into worlds not our own! Also, see my header. One Window: Would not recommend it. At least it isin English? A truly amazing book! Also, a...

Reviews and News on Young Adult/Teen Fiction. March 6, 2009. Review: The Forest of Hands and Teeth by Carrie Ryan. Posted by jocelyn under five windows. The Forest of Hands and Teeth. There is a romance here, too, but as two corners of this love triangle are secondary characters, they are not entirely real, and while Mary’s perspective on the romance was interesting, I didn’t feel like this book really was much of a romance. The cover blurbs that say it is are a bit misleading. Five out of six windows:.

Reviews and News on Young Adult/Teen Fiction. January 20, 2009. Thoughts on 1984 and Brave New World. Posted by jocelyn under random thoughts. No review, but I figured I should at least blog about what I read casually. I finished my summer reading this weekend (not as crazy as it sounds; I have second semester English, and this week is the first of the new semester), and the books assigned this year were George Orwell’s 1984. And Aldous Huxley’s Brave New World. January 21, 2009 at 4:33 am. Discovered yo...

Tuesday, October 20, 2009. Life for me has been hectic, which is why my blog has sucked lately. I'm working two jobs and going to school, so finding time to read and blog inbetween is getting harder and harder. Not to mention my reading time is cut down by the fact that I have to read Ivanhoe. For Reading Unlimited. It's a hard book to get into. So I'm apologizing for the suckiness, and hopefully I'll catch up with some reviews and fun stuff soon. Saturday, October 10, 2009. Sunday, 3 October 2010. I know I've been remiss in the past months, but not having time to write full reviews, I'd still like to share a couple of great books I've read recently. Reviews should be coming soon:. Raised by Wolves by Jennifer Lynn Barnes. In my opinion, there are too many werewolf books. There are not enough werewolf books as good as this one. Friday, 20 August 2010. Book review - Dreaming of Amelia by Jaclyn Moriarty. 8216; The first time I saw her I knew that my Amelia was a ghost. It’s a ghost story. It’s a story about love, illusions, black holes, and Irish convicts. It’s a story about endings and beginnings. It’s a story about the last school year of a group of clever, witty, over-dramatic, endearing teenagers. To me, Jaclyn Moriarty’s writing is special. Really truly unusual, even next to other teenage books. Why? I was a bit worried sta...
