WANTED: Older Child Adoption . . . Do You Hear What I Hear?
http://bringinghomezeke.blogspot.com/2012/12/older-child-adoption-do-you-hear-what-i.html
Because God makes everything beautiful in it's time . . . Thursday, December 20, 2012. Older Child Adoption . . . Do You Hear What I Hear? This post is especially typed (with love in every word) for my bloggy friends who are adopting or have adopted older children. Here's why: a child raised in an orphanage - even a WONDERFUL orphanage - tends to have notable delays in meeting his milestones. Our boys were 4 years old, 8 years old, 2.5 years old and 15 years old when they came home to us. Without...Their...

So you're adopting a child from The Philippines who will be more than three years old when he comes home? Let me share some wisdom with you that I pray will make the transition easier for all of you. Take what helps and reject what doesn't. 4 Even in the hottest places, a...

WANTED: A Post in Pictures
http://bringinghomezeke.blogspot.com/2013/07/a-post-in-pictures.html
Because God makes everything beautiful in it's time . . . Tuesday, July 16, 2013. A Post in Pictures. At the LAX airport one week ago awaiting the 13 hour flight on Philippine Airlines that would take us to our new home. The line for check in (16 bags and 12 carry ons) was made much longer when our family stepped in! Getting all settled in with no idea we are about to be bounced around the sky in some pretty heinous ways (ha ha). Settled in watching movies. A little in-flight PDA. July 16, 2013 at 7:14 PM.

WANTED: Never Sure
http://bringinghomezeke.blogspot.com/2011/11/never-sure.html?spref=fb
Because God makes everything beautiful in it's time . . . Saturday, November 26, 2011. I have been actively blogging for about two years now. The original intent of my blog was to allow friends, family and any interested folks to follow the adoption journey of our precious Ezekiel. The blog is aptly named. Adoption Disruption, The Down and Dirty. Lemuel's Story, Part 2. Bonding: The Flap and the Facts. I'm never sure HOW much to share on this blog. I think it's unfair to speak cryptically and in gene...

WANTED: April 2015
http://bringinghomezeke.blogspot.com/2015_04_01_archive.html
Because God makes everything beautiful in it's time . . . Saturday, April 25, 2015. Precious girl . . . I see you every single day. I hear your loud laughter and I watch you being so sweet and mothering to the three youngest children in our center. And I am proud of you. I know how hard you struggle in school to learn and keep up with the other kids. I know sometimes they tease you because some of them think you are too dark and not pretty. And not them. Promise. And we are so small. And, please, surroun...

WANTED: Haunted
http://bringinghomezeke.blogspot.com/2013/03/haunted.html
Because God makes everything beautiful in it's time . . . Wednesday, March 6, 2013. I am haunted by a child. He was mine and now he is not. I need to find him. And here is the story . . . Back in 2002, my husband and I had two precious children, ages 6 and 8. We felt very stable in our lives and ready to explore adding to our family. We went to the home on a warm summer day in 2002. I asked the house mother which children were still in need of a visiting resource. The girls were all claimed. The followin...

WANTED: A Bad Word
http://bringinghomezeke.blogspot.com/2015/03/a-bad-word.html
Because God makes everything beautiful in it's time . . . Friday, March 20, 2015. I remember back in junior high school, having a then-deep and philosophical conversation with one of my equally-deep 12 year old friends about what makes a bad word "bad". I have run into many discussions that seem to be about semantics but are about so much more in this life in The Philippines. Case in point: More than one educated adult here has asked me if Ezekiel is "a mongoloid"? Many cringe at this word. It's arch...
