Where the journey takes me. Crafting a simple, sustainable and organised life. Home and away…. July 5, 2015. We came back from our jolly hols in Scotland yesterday. It has been a mixture of hard work in our cottage garden interspersed with a little relaxation and the odd trip out (or two) – more news on this another day. My other mail was an assortment of the usual marketing junk, voting papers for building societies and bank statements which I still get on paper; hidden amongst the pile was my most rece...

Literary fiction is what I’ve largely been focusing on but of course narrative began orally, no doubt with a lot of gesture and visuals! Beach Cottage | where the journey takes me
https://wherethejourneytakesme.wordpress.com/beach-house
Where the journey takes me. Crafting a simple, sustainable and organised life. We love our little cottage by the sea – we bought it in 2004 for a place to escape to at weekends and holidays until we can move and live there permanently. Although it is a bit ramshackle in places and the garden resembled an overgrown jungle we could see its great potential and have been renovating it at weekends and holidays ever since but it is a slow and long term project. But, my experience was sufficient to convince me that I am glad that I am not a regular commuter.
