The difficulty and craftsmanship that went into dye transfers was (is? There are still a few devoted to it) really quite something. I’m not normally attracted to shooting natural and pristine landscapes – I’m more interested in seeing signs of human intervention, both good and bad. But I was willing to make an exception in this case. I had some difficulty, though, in deciding what approach to take. Over the years I’ve seen so many images of it and I didn’t want to revisit what I’d already seen. So I used my pinhole camera. Monday, April 30th, 2012.
