It’s early Saturday morning at Mandarin Pathway’s Community Chinese class and the kids are excited about our Chinese dumpling cooking experiment. I emphasise the word experiment because none of us had actually cooked dumplings before. Sure, I have eaten plenty on the streets of China. But whilst my Chinese language skills may have been developing, my cooking skills definitely weren’t. Was pretty similar to frying up some sausages!
