January 28, 2011. Coming from someone so sick of snow storms that I have refused to pick up another shovel and have hibernated (so I don't have to keep driving in blizzards without snow tires). How are we supposed to ENJOY the snow if we cannot drive to the ski slopes . . . or even drive to the grocery store for more hot chocolate? Links to this post. January 18, 2011. I fear we have a Jackson, Jr in female form.). Our house is mostly tile and wood, so she has figured out that if she takes her socks off ...

December 22, 2010. Dashing Through The Snow. Fun times at Grandma-with-the-dogs and our cousins . . . right before they moved out west. Uncle Greg sat on the snowmobile and whipped all the kids around the front field on a toboggan. Naturally, the Templeman tradition of competition under any circumstance prevailed and teams were made and an object of the game was invented: throw the other team off the moving sled. October 26, 2011. We are hosting the family for Halloween again this year. So, in an effort to get the kids to eat something before heading out and gorging on sugar, we're trying to get some interesting Halloween food ideas. Here are some things I have come across . . . (Note: if you have a weak stomache, you may want to by-pass this post! First up is an appetizer of alien tentacles. And monster eye balls. Okay, not so bad, you say? How about moving on to the main dishes of fleshworm? Rat on a stick?

May 27, 2012. I've been enjoying a bit of a renaissance in the world of fiction. Always an avid reader, I thrived on fiction most of my youth . . . and must have lost it somewhere in my university World Masterpieces as I was forced to read "Candide.". Since then, I've just read a lot of non-fiction. Interesting, but nothing really all that gripping. I caved because a) it was a dare, and even more so b) I just had to find out what happened in the love triangle! Hunger Games, Trilogy by Suzanne Collins.

February 25, 2011. There's Excitement in the Air! Well, Liv is always pretty excited about anything, but I doubt she really knows her birthday is coming up. All know, and are. And so, in the few days leading up to it, I am going to extend some of the fun to everyone else who cares. We'll be playing a few games at her owl themed party. The first is a "Whoo Do I Look Like? Game Cast your votes as to whether our cutie looks like:. Or maybe she was switched at birth? The second game is "Whoo Will I Become?

June 23, 2011. Snippets of Conversation Tonight. Jayden: Avery, Mom was right when she said you were really rude at the table last night. It's rude to blow chocolate milk all over your face and then wipe it off with garlic bread. After getting out of the shower and being handed a pink polka dot towel,. Jackson: I don't want that towel. It has poo on it. Me: No it doesn't. (I switch to the next towel in the cupboard, a solid green one.). Jackson: That one has poo on it. Me: It does not. Links to this post.
