Topheavy piles of books. WordPress is an excellent platform to showcase photography. As well as a web designer, I am also a professional photographer. I started working with WordPress as a way to streamline the updates to my own photography site: Mumford-photo.com. I found WordPress to be a very effective tool for creating photo galleries. It has also been a useful tool for delivering high resolution images to clients on hidden pages that are not linked or indexed. Leave a Reply Cancel reply.

Why I’m not that crazy about mobile-first – topheavy piles of books
http://topheavypilesofbooks.com/2014/03/im-crazy-mobile-first
Topheavy piles of books. March 9, 2014. Why I’m not that crazy about mobile-first. It comes down to one simple reason: I’ve never (literally. Had a project where mobile came first. I’ve never had a designer give me a mobile layout before a desktop layout. I’ve never had a client mention mobile anything in a first meeting (I always bring it up though). I’ve never had a project manager or producer who wanted to talk mobile in the early stages of a project. Through the Custom Fields, Iterating Along.

Topheavy piles of books. February 6, 2015. Benach Ragland, Immigration Lawyers. Re-design went live Feb 2, 2015. It was photographed, videoed and designed by Llewellyn Creative. And I coded it up in a wordpress theme. It was a very satisfying project. I used underscores. For a starter theme, and found it to be flexible and fast (underscores has now replaced the outdated Handcrafted. As my starter theme of choice). I especially liked underscores’ Sass. Folder. The more I use Sass, the more I like it.
