I can promise that my work will never merely repeat "common knowledge," that it is thoroughly researched in primary sources reinforced by professional military standards. There is no deference paid to patriotic or political myth or the unsupported opinions of important historians. The German Infantry Regiment 66 fought in most of the great battles on the Western Front in World War I: Le Cateau, the First Marne, Arras 1915, the Somme, the Chemin des Dames 1917, the German March 1918 offensive, Chemin des Dames 1918, Second Marne. The text has been translated by German Army expert Terence Zuber, and includes 25 maps and 88 pencil sketches by Döbrich-Steglitz.
