Teresa's Trek: November 2006

http://teresawhite.blogspot.com/2006_11_01_archive.html

From Southern California to Anchorage, Alaska. Saturday, November 11, 2006. It's cold and crisp, the perfect time to head out for a hike. This is looking out over Anchorage and Cook Inlet from a look out at Glenn Alps. Then we hiked around Burberry Trail, around snow covered hills and mountains. What a beautiful way to spend a Sabbath afternoon. Posted by Teresa @ 8:55 PM. From Southern California to Anchorage, Alaska. Anchorage, Alaska, United States. View my complete profile.

Teresa's Trek: September 2006

http://teresawhite.blogspot.com/2006_09_01_archive.html

From Southern California to Anchorage, Alaska. Thursday, September 21, 2006. We headed out around 8am so we could make it to Seattle around 11am. My car was packed to the max, I had to fit everything in it that I wanted up in Alaska with me. The Suburban had my couch in the back and mattresses strapped to the top. I followed my mom so I could make sure those mattresses weren't going anywhere. We met my dad in Tacoma and headed for Seattle Port. Posted by Teresa @ 10:28 AM. Tuesday, September 19, 2006.

Teresa's Trek: March 2007

http://teresawhite.blogspot.com/2007_03_01_archive.html

From Southern California to Anchorage, Alaska. Saturday, March 03, 2007. Today was the ceremonial. Start of the Iditarod. Which in Anchorage. The official. In Willow, Alaska. The actual race is 1049 miles and finishes in Nome. The race has entries from those who have ran it more then 20 times to those who are young and this is their first year. There were, of course, many beautiful dogs. Though some looked like they would much rather just stay in their hay beds. Posted by Teresa @ 12:53 PM.

My sister and I went on a trip to DC since we had not been there before. We were going non-stop the whole time that we were there and took around 500 picts. Went to Arlington Cemetery with the Grave of the Unknown Soldier. And JFK memorial, saw the White House (and Marine One taking off! Sis by the Washington Monument. White House from the top. Night...

http://ryansrace.blogspot.com/2009/11/airboat-tour.html

This site shows things that I do to keep sane in the race of life. Monday, November 02, 2009. Our "full" boat ready for adventure! Pretending to steal the boat! A 9 foot croc right beside our boat. Trees growing right up out of the water. Cruising down the bayou. They told us to watch out for snakes falling out of the trees. The guide said about once a year one will fall onto a boat. Very nice weather for the end of October. Feeding an 11 ft gator some "swamp crack" otherwise known as marshmallows.

Ryan's Race: April 2008

http://ryansrace.blogspot.com/2008_04_01_archive.html

This site shows things that I do to keep sane in the race of life. Friday, April 25, 2008. After Boise I went up to Washington to visit family. My brother had a day off of work so we decided to hit the hills with his Jeep. It was snowing on us but that didn't stop us from getting out into it. By the time that we were got home we were dirty and sore but it was a great day in the hills. Airplane to enjoy the, yet again, nice warm day. From there I flew to Portland. Grandma, and Uncle Brent at Lucky Peak.

This site shows things that I do to keep sane in the race of life. Tuesday, October 21, 2008. On the way back from Nashville we stopped off at the National Corvette Museum in Bowling Green, KY. We spent a couple of hours walking through the self guided tour and looking at all of the vette's from over the years. There were some pretty cool cars there. Besides the cool car, check out the price of Gas! I think that I will take one of each! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Portland, Oregon, United States.

This site shows things that I do to keep sane in the race of life. Saturday, March 15, 2008. Most stores and restaurants. Were closed for the whole weekend. It was fun to go out and play in the snow though. This city thinks that spreading salt on the roads is good snow management so there were many accidents out on the roads and the news advised everyone to stay at home and avoid the " treacherous. Conditions. Here are a few pictures of the snow on Sabbath Morning. This is the parking lot by my Apt.

Ryan's Race: New Orleans

http://ryansrace.blogspot.com/2009/11/new-orleans.html

This site shows things that I do to keep sane in the race of life. Wednesday, November 04, 2009. Here are a few more pictures from my trip to New Orleans recently. It is an interesting area. The French Quarter is nice but then the rest of the city is very poor and dirty an in poor repair. Driving into the city on I-10. The Superdome and New Orleans Skyline. The Mississippi River at night. Typical building outside of the "nice" part of town. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). View my complete profile.

Teresa Whitfield | Teresa Whitfield

Teresa Whitfield makes intricate ink drawings of historic lace from museum collections across the UK including Nottingham Castle Museum, the Victoria and Albert Museum, Bath Museum of Fashion and the Bronte Parsonage Museum. Her work explores the demise of the hand-made lace industry and challenges preconceived ideas about lace. The technique she utilises is almost forensic in its precision and is inspired by similarities between lace-making processes and line-drawing.
