I noticed a sign on the cash register when I first walked, "Voted Best Teriyaki in Ballard." Now those are some pretty big words and I hoped their food could live up to 'em. And I was not disappointed. This was some very good teriyaki. Everything was very tasty and the portions were huge. Just look how much salad and chicken are on that plate! And it was only 6 bucks!

I really don't know where to start with this place. The guy who runs this place does everything. He takes the orders, cooks the food, talks with customers while they eat the food, then gives sunglasses to customers while they eat. Everything. Sunny Teriyaki gets 2 stars for the entertainment value. Sunny Teriyaki - Ballard.

Now you do get a lot of rice but their portion size on the chicken was lacking. Also, the salad could have used more dressing. They do however give you free miso soup if you eat there. I always drive by this place on my way home from work so it was nice to finally try it. This cute family run joint (the teenage son took our order and even brought out the food) makes some pretty good teriyaki. What makes this place stand out was how big their portions were. That's a lot of food for less than $7!
