Saturday, June 5, 2010. Linux Ubuntu IP recovery? PROBLEM: (Forgot my devices IP address). If you've stored that unused network device (router, ATA adapter etc.) and you can't remember what the IP address was to administer it via web browser. No problem! While I'm sure there are a million ways to discover what the IP address was, this one is free of charge! And if you've got Linux installed, particularily Ubuntu Linux or some debian distro it's even easier. SOLUTION: (Install and use netdiscover).
