Our blend of two white grape varieties, Albarino and Verdejo. The only wine of these grapes produced in Canada! Grown at our home vineyard on the Naramata Bench at our Lone Hand Ranch vineyard. Tough granitic soils of glacial origin characterize the vineyard. Brisk and attractive aromas of succulent apricots, white peach fuzz with hints of red apple, ripe cantaloupe and pink gooseberry flavours. Although 2015 growing season saw record total heat units, our Albarino held onto its all precious acidity.

We love ratatouille in the summer when our garden is brimming with its ingredients. It is one of our preferred appies during the hot days of July and August. We grill our vegetables (often the night before) and then gently stir them into our cooked tomato mixture. Grill approximately same amount of zucchini and eggplant. The vegetables should be small, (long Japanese eggplant are the best), both cut longitudinally and tossed with a sprinkle of olive oil and salt. Recipe by: Senka Tennant - winemaker.
