Terri's Table

Friday, August 22, 2014. I know I said I probably wouldn't be blogging until we came back from vacation, but I loved these and had to share. We will be leaving August 31st for two weeks in our used-but-new-to-us motorhome. I'm hoping I have some cool stuff to share as we travel. In the meantime, I made these fish cakes. The other night. Let me rephrase that. I sort of made these the other night. Anyway, I made this Roasted Red Pepper and Chive Aioli. To serve with them and they were delicious. This r...

Terri's Table: Linguini with Chorizo and Clams

http://terristable.blogspot.com/2009/03/linguini-with-chorizo-and-clams.html

Monday, March 2, 2009. Linguini with Chorizo and Clams. Okay, it has shrimp and calamari, too. It's Tom's fault. He just can't help himself when it comes to seafood. He loves it. If it has clams.well, hey, just throw in a couple of mussels, too. Oh, and by the way, I just happen to have a couple of shrimp on hand and a calamari. How about if we throw those in. And on and on. But, I'm not complaining. Linquine with Chorizo and Clams. By Tom Powers adapted from Southern Living Magazine. 1/2 cup olive oil.

Terri's Table: Cheddar Pecan Wafers

http://terristable.blogspot.com/2013/12/cheddar-pecan-wafers.html

Sunday, December 8, 2013. Is it safe to come out of my rabbit hole? I know I've been gone a long time. I've been posting a little on my Facebook page. Sharing photos of what we have been serving for dinner and such, but I haven't felt compelled to create a whole blog post simply because none of food has really been holiday related, which is what everyone seems to be looking for these last couple of months. So I've kept quiet, waiting for the pumpkin season to pass. And when I have guests, I also like to ...

Terri's Table: Focaccia ~ The Easiest Bread You'll EVER Bake!

http://terristable.blogspot.com/2013/09/focaccia-easiest-bread-youll-ever-bake.html

Sunday, September 22, 2013. Focaccia The Easiest Bread You'll EVER Bake! Well, hello there! Yes, I'm back. Maybe not with a vengeance, but I'm back just the same. I can't really explain why I took such a long break. A little blogger burnout, a little depression or just not able to find the right words to communicate my love of cooking and food. But, now that it is somewhat behind me, I feel like I have a little more enthusiasm. I added 2 teaspoons of course ground pepper ("restaurant style ground pepper"...

Terri's Table: Apps ~ And I'm Not Talkin' iPhone

http://terristable.blogspot.com/2010/06/apps-and-im-not-talkin-iphone.html

Sunday, June 13, 2010. Apps And I'm Not Talkin' iPhone. I love creating and making appetizers. I have always been fascinated by how just two or three or four ingredients could be combined for a flavorful amuse-bouche (a single, bite-sized hors d’œuvre) or layered on a piece of toasted baguette for a tasty crostini. Yummy. Appetizers can be as simple or as complicated as you like and, when I have guests, I like to offer a little bit of both. These are addicting. The pop of the tomato. The creamine...They ...

Recipes, Reviews, and General Food Talk. Pâté de Campagne (Country Pâté). September 11, 2011. February 2, 2013. Recipes, Reviews, and General Food Talk. In praise of the world’s tiniest grill. July 11, 2014. Being an apartment-dweller means that I’m pretty short on porch space. I mean, we. What we found was this little 156-square inch grill for the bargain price of $10. Assembly took about 15 minutes, and it fit nicely on the corner of the front porch. A bit of charcoal and some fire later, we were ready to cook. So how does the world’s tiniest grill stack up? Brew review: Prairie Funky Gold Mosaic →. Follow me on...

Terri's Tales

Friday, November 19, 2010. Ten Days in India. I've only a few minutes on the Internet, but since a picture is worth a thousand words, I'll insert many photos. We've enjoyed Delhi, Jaipur, the Pushkar Camel Festival, Rathambore Tiger Preserve (lots of deer and birds, but alas, no tiger sighting) and now Agra and the incomparable Taj Mahal! India is all they say it is: crowds of people - over a billion of them, impossible traffic, thousands of animals, friendy, smiling people, and wonderful food!

Thoughts that dawn on me. Let There Be LIGHT…. Then your light will break through like the dawn, and you will heal quickly.
