My first emotion of the day is panic. What time is it? I force my eyes open and squint at the clock. My eyes close again with relief that I haven’t overslept. I drag myself out of bed and into the shower. Bracing myself, I turn on the tap and stand under a blast of icy water for a few seconds, gasping. 8221; the lump mumbles.
