From My Sketchbook: August Theme | Terri's Notebook
https://terrisnotebook.com/2015/08/05/from-my-sketchbook-august-theme
From My Sketchbook: August Theme. August 5, 2015. In order to fill up more sketchbooks, which is on my bucket list for 2015. I’m having fun coming up with new drawing prompts, so I’ve been trying to sketch A LOT more lately. One thing I’m doing is a monthly calendar, but instead of using it like a diary, I’m using it to do a daily doodle. For the month of August, I’m going with a new theme centered around the beach since we’re planning a couple trips to local beaches in August. Stay tuned for progress!

August Animal Art Series: Freshwater Fish. August 31, 2016. In order to continue my mission to draw all the time and fill up more sketchbooks in 2016, I’ve been busy working on a new theme of drawings each week. At the end of the week, it’s nice to have lots of new drawings and a full page illustration. And I’m learning how to draw. New things this year, which is really exciting! I finished some fun illustrations in August for my animal art series. My theme was freshwater fish. August 29, 2016. After doi...

Art Journal 2011 – Week 1 and 2. January 16, 2011. I’ve always wanted to make an art journal, but I never knew where to start. As usual, I found just the right. To get me started! We have committed to work on our pages “together” on Saturday evenings. (not. Together because she lives in England, I live in the US! The idea is to use a deck of playing cards for your journal. Then you just make a page every week reflecting whatever topic you want. Michelle is doing a Little Book of Joys. And an inside cover:.

I went back to school in 2010 to get an art degree in graphic design and illustration. I dreamed of designing art that would be licensed by a fabric company or a stationery company for gift wrap. Many of these collections would be great for bolt fabric, wrapping paper, journal covers, scrapbooking paper, envelope liners, bed sheets, pillowcases, shower curtains, tablecloths, paper napkins and so much more! To see my surface pattern design portfolio books published on issuu.com. I did in 2015. Surface pat...

I love to cook and bake, so I thought it would be fun to capture a list of my favorites on a separate page here in my Notebook. Some recipes have been in my family for years and others are from famous chefs. Biscotti has become my new favorite sweet snack. I’m hoping to try a chocolate version. 1 package (16.4 to 18.25-ounce) chocolate chip muffin mix. 3/4 cup all-purpose flour. 1/2 cup butter, melted. 1/2 cup sweetened dried cranberries, chopped. 2 teaspoons freshly grated orange peel. I adore gingerbre...

A craving for travel, a sense of distant places, a desire to explore the world. I was born with a major case of wanderlust. When I graduated from high school, I wanted to take a year off before going to college to explore the U.S. By myself. In my car. (I was only 17, so my mom said no way.) In the meantime, I remain curious about other places, people, and culture. I have always loved maps, both as a traveler and as an illustrator. Maps tell stories! I created a whale watching map. These postcard maps al...

2015 Bucket List | Terri's Notebook
https://terrisnotebook.com/2015/01/04/2015-bucket-list
January 4, 2015. At the beginning of the year, instead of making New Year’s resolutions, I like to make a bucket list for the year. Of course, I have goals for the year, such as continuing to grow my freelance graphic design and illustration business, do more licensed art collections for Nancy’s Notions and submit samples of my designs to a few companies to get new licensed art gigs. More of the good, less of the bad, right? Stay in touch with friends and family more often – send more snail mail. Pingbac...
