It all started in 03 when most of this large maple tree was felled by straightline winds or a small tornado. Suddenly I had a bit of full sun in the yard. Here Scott and our wonderful neighbor, Mike, are sawing up what’s left. April 21 — All the roses are budded out! Barb gave me a gnome! There’s a big lull in the garden action after the daffodils and before the roses. I had not noticed this May Night Salvia has jumped the gun and begun to bloom. May Night Salvia is a great little perennial. It makes attractive stands that don’t flop over. It blooms for a long time and will rebloom if you cut it back when the blooms are spent, and comes back dependably every year. Today I snapped that photo to the left. Enter your comment here.

Garden 09 | Quiet Garden

3-07-09 – The early daffodils are blooming and yesterday and today have been in the low 70’s. Yesterday I dug a little trench around the north rose bed (as edging). Today I raked up pine needles and put them on that bed for mulch and picked up sticks…there are so many small sticks everywhere still. The clematis is not showing any sign of life…I’m worried. I pruned it quite a bit last fall. Or maybe it got too old. I love my bleeding hearts so much! May 2, 2009 at 12:16 am. Thoughts, lady of the roses?

Sunday, May 10, 2015. 上回單車探路主打為甩洲，故大生圍只是其中的駁腳路線，拜銀有見還有另一邊未探，故與同樣早出發的我一起先「補完」大生圍才與食家繼續探遊米埔。 元朗天豐單車→博愛醫院─(壆圍南路 攸壆路)→錦田河山貝河交界─(原路回程)→大生圍→甩洲─(原路回程)→大生圍村公所→錦繡騎術學校→攸壆路─(青公 擔竿洲路)→WWF米埔遊客中心(小休)─(原路回程)→練板村─(被逼回程)─(青公)→新田村(大休)─(惇裕路)→落馬洲邊境鐵絲網─(原路回程)→南生圍路─(蠔洲路)→黃屋村→元朗天豐單車. 攸壆路上回只玩了「攸」的部份今回當然全走看看「壆」的部份。與南生圍路一樣是長長的河畔，初段對岸是壆圍南路，後段對岸是南生圍路，錦田河和山貝河相會的河口常有候鳥捕食，可是攸壆路這邊有高高的紅樹林遮擋景緻，但同樣有「打雀人」在路邊的草叢靜待時機。 於大生圍路口會合食家，然後沿村公所方向離開，怎知出口便是剛巧探路走過的攸壆路，除了補完還對大生圍漁塘路走線有更深了解，或許只有用單車探路才容許我們進行深度遊。 Friday, May 1, 2015. 以單車重踏上多年前「一步一驚心&#...
