Just another WordPress.com weblog. 6-D-2 Applets October 28, 2008. 8212; lizzybe23 @ 1:08 am. I chose a game from NLVM. It was called: Algebra Balance Scales. I really liked the game because it reinforces the fact that when solving an equation you must keep the equation balanced. It is difficult to explain to students why they need to show this balance and even harder to imagine a concrete way to model this for students. I still have students that want to add everything together before solving an equation.

In this post, I will provide my own definitions for the terms “equation” and “function.” These terms are not research based and are derived from my own experiences in mathematics. I’ll post a revision later. Example 1: Numeric Equation. 4(6 2) = 24 8. Example 2: Algebraic Equation. 7x 3 = 24. On October 22, 2008 at 12:28 pm. Leave a Reply Cancel reply.

Just another WordPress.com weblog. 6-A-4 Evaluating Our Definitions: Equations and Functions October 23, 2008. 8212; lizzybe23 @ 7:13 pm. After reviewing my classmates post, I would add the headings numeric equation and algebraic equation to my examples of equations. In terms the definition of function, I think my definition was pretty similar to my classmates so I wouldn’t change anything there. I still liked my own examples and other than the headings on the equation examples I wouldn’t change them.

Would need to be carried out to find the previous row. Thus, viewing the triangle from base to vertex the triangle decreases. In number and size and the difference. The golden ratio app...
