Tess in Japan: August 2006
http://tessinjapan.blogspot.com/2006_08_01_archive.html
This is a travelogue that I wrote during my six months in Japan from April to September 2006. Wednesday, August 30, 2006. Should I take a picture? Not that I was hungering for blood and gore, but I thought there aught to be a better record of the event than this. Well, the second section of the museum was more than enough to make me forget I hand't had lunch. Tomorrow morning I head off to Aso, my southernmost Japan stop and last before South Korea. Tess in Japan: July 2006
http://tessinjapan.blogspot.com/2006_07_01_archive.html
This is a travelogue that I wrote during my six months in Japan from April to September 2006. Sunday, July 30, 2006. I rushed after them after they`d finished but they had all already gotten on their bus and they didn`t even stay for the fireworks - I guess they came from farther away. But Marie, the French lady, told me about this Ainu museum they have with a recerated village and everything, so I will definately go when I am in Muroran, which is nearby. I kept dreading the noe DOWNhill snow section, bu...

Tess in Japan: May 2006
http://tessinjapan.blogspot.com/2006_05_01_archive.html
This is a travelogue that I wrote during my six months in Japan from April to September 2006. Sunday, May 28, 2006. Saturday Sarah and I took our local rain two stops further away from the center to Iwakura for a carp flag making session. Carp flags are these flags you see floating around tubular with carps painted on them! Everyone runs and tries to flip as many of the other team’s colour over as possible, leaving more of your colour. This basically meant that at ‘Stop! We were given cake and little tin...

Tess in Japan: October 2006
http://tessinjapan.blogspot.com/2006_10_01_archive.html
This is a travelogue that I wrote during my six months in Japan from April to September 2006. Tuesday, October 03, 2006. Realising that 'on planet earth' was just too restrictive, I have decided to change my new blog to 'In the Universe' with the address being tessintheuniverse.blogspot.com. There is a link on the right here that will take you to it. After a while I will erase the 'planet earth' blog, as now it's a bit moot. But maybe I'll keep it for something else. Tess in Japan: April 2006
http://tessinjapan.blogspot.com/2006_04_01_archive.html
This is a travelogue that I wrote during my six months in Japan from April to September 2006. Tuesday, April 25, 2006. I’ll try not to bore everyone and give a brief run-down with lots of pictures. Mainly I’m glad we’re in Nagoya to study because its more relaxed and more traditional and calmer. If we were in Tokyo it would be harder to see what the kids were lashing out FROM, everything being more varied already. But there is lots to see, and everyone is still very friendly. Yay, dead fish! We reach the...

Tess in Japan: June 2006
http://tessinjapan.blogspot.com/2006_06_01_archive.html
This is a travelogue that I wrote during my six months in Japan from April to September 2006. Sunday, June 25, 2006. Well, really with pocky, it seems you can’t go wrong. People showed up, we had many more Pocky and Fran packets than we could fit on the chart, we managed to fill up the chart with names of guests (! Anyway, so that was Saturday. Anyway, it was fun, and I could see the amusement park-type recreated plastic Venice nearby, though I neglected to go in. So long, and thanks for all the fish!
