Thursday, September 25, 2008. That's how long its been since my last run. 'Luckily' half of that I didn't even feel like running, a bout of bronchitis that had me coughing just about all night every night for 3 weeks and waking up feeling like absolute crap. Not sure how much longer I'll be out. There has been a slight improvement. Tuesday, September 27, 2005. Pat's this morning was 500m reps, with a one minute standing recovery. Instead of the usual West End venue for these we headed towards New Farm. Though we do lots of speed work in this stretch is was a pleasant change of venue for this particular session. Thursday, April 17, 2008. Arrived safely in Canberra mid morning Saturday, alas my suitcase did not. Along with about a dozen others including Rob the Runner my bag was missing in action. I wasn't too concerned, I had my running clothes in my carry on bag and was wearing running shoes (albeit an old worn pair). Tuesday, November 29, 2005. With longer measured reps on the pgm we were expecting to head to West End this morning but instead went to New Farm. We had a choice of 1 x 1k and 5 x 500s or 2 x 1k and 5 x 500s. The second option is really just for the faster guys, that way they aren't waiting around at the end for the rest of us. I couldn't quite match Clairie, or that speed, on my 500s though, they were between 2:01 and 2:06. For me these are usually around 1:55 give or take. Posted by Tesso at 10:43 AM.

I like to get my feet muddy on the trails. Morning run, 5.73km ( 500 or so meters while the gps got a lock), 00:45:19. Very slow, but I can feel that I am getting into a good rhythm, once I get my rhythm should start improving quickly. Had that funny period-pain thing at the start, but as usual it went away after the first 20 mins. It is funny to get up in the morning when it is so dark. Saw Pat's group while I was out too. The Porcupine Gorge Challenge is an annual run at Porcupine Gorge (funny that) which is about an hours drive north of Hughenden, which is 4 hours drive west of Townsville.
