Friday, September 26, 2008. UBCM calls for LNG tanker ban and no GHGs. At its convention in Pentiction from September 22-26, 2008, the Union of BC Municipalities approved these two resolutions:. B76 - GAS-FIRED ELECTRICITY GENERATING FACILITY EMISSIONS. BE IT RESOLVED that the UBCM urge the provincial government, as part of achieving the BC Energy Plan, to require zero greenhouse gas emissions from new gas-fired electricity generation stations.
