Monthly Archives: March 2014. March 20, 2014. Finally went to New York…. So, we finally went to New York. If you’re wondering what New York is like…it’s slightly overrated depending on who you ask. If you ask me, Texas is better. I would say it’s like Austin and Mexico had a baby. So, why was it disappointing? Either way, it’s a great experience. My wife and son are better people than this struggling man. The truth about having a family. Being a great Father…start preparing now!

I recall, during my time in the Air Force, hearing members of every branch discuss some sort of disappointment in the war on terrorism...

Monthly Archives: April 2014. April 18, 2014. The truth about having a family. I recently read an article that discusses about what life in your 20’s is like compared to your 30’s. Part of the article was about what life is like with a family and without a family. The author’s perspective couldn’t be further from the truth. While everyone is different, I want to share with you my experience…. Here’s what the author wrote with my commentary:. He was right. And wrong. When I was 20, I skipped Friday classe...

HAPPY TRAILS
Tuesday, October 1, 2013. Several years ago, I had the opportunity to climb one of the best peaks in Colorado with a few friends. If you know me well, you have probably endured my retelling of the infamous hiking boot fiasco that befell me on this wilderness adventure. Still, I think it’s a story worth repeating once more for the blog world. As we stood in the parking lot before making our ascent to the grand peak, I contemplated which shoes to wear. Remarkably, I couldn’t feel the difference witho...

Texan In Kansas
New adventures in life learned in a whole new place. Wednesday, August 19, 2009. So when the Samaritans came to (Jesus) they asked Him to stay with them, and He stayed there two days. And many believed because of His word. They said to the woman, "It is no longer because of what you said that we believe, for we have heard for ourselves and we know that this is indeed the Savior of the world. Then, as I started reading the passage, I saw things I'd never really paid attention to before:. Every time I've e...
