Sunday, October 30, 2011. The Legend of Pancho Villa. This is Pancho Villa, one of our Rhodesian Ridgebacks. He came to live with us about a year ago (October 2010)and is a full brother to Hector. When he arrived, he contracted Parvo and came very close to death. Two friends who were visiting at the time, laid hands and prayed over him. He recovered completely and has become quite a character. By now, Pancho is 10 months and weighs about 80 pounds. Looks good.(as I am tying off an artery).(pause). Rather...

Texans in Tanzania: Texans in Tanzania

http://www.texansintanzania.blogspot.com/2009/06/texans-in-tanzania.html

Monday, June 22, 2009. We are often asked how two middle-aged Texans ended up in Tanzania, East Africa. Well, I can honestly say that no one is more surprised than we are to find ourselves here. Africa was not even on our the list of top 10 "Places I Gotta See Before I Die". After hearing about the vision our friend, Jerry Hale, had for. Posted by Ed and Debra Lloyd. My daughter, Amanda, is travelling with the Aldersgate team from Lubbock for the mission trip at the end of July. June 23, 2009 at 9:36 PM.

Texans in Tanzania: TEACH IT Team - SAFINA

http://www.texansintanzania.blogspot.com/2010/09/teach-it-team-safina_8688.html

Sunday, September 19, 2010. TEACH IT Team - SAFINA. The Teach It Team came bearing suitcases of books. When combined with many other books already donated to the Safina Street Network program, they undertook the job of cataloging over 400 books, building and installing bookshelves, and opening a new library for the street kids. The new bookshelves were funded by the Teach It team and built by Ed. They filled every possible corner and space with shelf space, anticipating a room one day filled with books.

Texans in Tanzania: July 2009

http://www.texansintanzania.blogspot.com/2009_07_01_archive.html

Friday, July 31, 2009. The reality of life as a child of the streets was seen first-hand. Posted by Ed and Debra Lloyd. Thursday, July 30, 2009. This man is disabled and his wife had left for the morning to find firewood. Being "disabled" for a man in Tanzania holds a negative stigma because he is unable to provide for his family. Imagine when his wife returned and he was able to tell her they had food for the next several days. Posted by Ed and Debra Lloyd. Wednesday, July 29, 2009. We have anticipated ...

The Rowdy Girls: Answered Prayers

http://rowdygrls.blogspot.com/2012/04/answered-prayers.html

Sunday, April 22, 2012. Tonight, after bedtime prayers, Roo was asking more tough spiritual questions. I asked her, as I usually do, if she would like to invite Jesus to be in her heart. And this time she said yes! Then, she spent another half hour working up the courage. I asked her if she wanted some help with the words and she said yes. After I articulated a simple invitation, Em repeated it verbatim, eyes shining! She is SO excited about her newfound power! Posted by RG Mama. I am so excited!

Wednesday, May 25, 2011. And called him MacArrone. On what the MacArrone Family should name the new baby. Posted by RG Mama. Sunday, May 8, 2011. It's been an amazing Mother's Day for me. The girls were sooooo excited to celebrate this day and had special gifts, made secretly at school. And to really make the day special, Roo placed all her favorite dolls just so, facing my bedroom so that they could all wish me a happy Mother's Day. After church, J and the girls made a "brunch tea party".

http://rowdygrls.blogspot.com/2012_06_01_archive.html

Saturday, June 2, 2012. The recital draws near. Posted by RG Mama. Friday, June 1, 2012. We put the girls to bed at 7:30 after a long day full of activities. At 8:35pm, Roo emerged. Usually it's a potty run. Tonight, she just needed "a little kiss". The stall was on. Roo: How about a little nosey? Me: Goodnight, dear. Roo: Well, what time is it exactly? Me: 8:35. Goodnight. Roo: I don't think that 8:35 is a good bedtime. I don't think I need to get sleep to grow bigger and stronger. Posted by RG Mama.

The Rowdy Girls: May 2012

http://rowdygrls.blogspot.com/2012_05_01_archive.html

Tuesday, May 29, 2012. The girls attended a special event for our favorite library this past Monday. Among the bounce houses, face painting and train rides was a balloon artist. They each requested something specific. A unicorn and a scorpion. They left with a ladybug and a light saber. Before we got to the car, the sword part of the balloon saber popped. Roo examined it disappointedly, and then declared that the remaining portion of the hilt looked like a monkey. Good enough. Are you Sooo Disappointed!

The Rowdy Girls: The Back Story on the RGs

http://rowdygrls.blogspot.com/2008/05/back-story-on-rgs.html

Monday, May 5, 2008. The Back Story on the RGs. So, why call Em and Roo the "Rowdy Girls"? How was that phrase born? Like all the best things, you can't draw a straight line from point A to point B to get the whole story. First of all, you have to understand how very much I (and my sisters) love the television show, Designing Women. We have huge chunks of dialog from this series memorized and quote it at the most random moments. Excuse me. My teeth are enormous.". In one scene, Charlene. Well, this parti...
