Everyone and their little brother grew a moustache last year ( especially out in Hollywood. You might even argue that the stache has already jumped the shark when d-bags like Jay Mohr (above) feel the need to walk around with that thing on his upper lip. Setbacks aside - count me among those looking forward to an even bigger explosion of moustache mojo in 2009. Bring it on!

Thursday, August 28, 2008. Giambi Brings Back the Stache.Beats Red Sox. Maybe I'm oversimplifying things here, but it seems to me Giambi brought back the stache, then he single-handedly beat Boston. With the Yankees struggling as a team to stay in the wild card race, one man (Giambi) didn't seem to have any trouble:. A) hitting a homer in the 7th inning to tie the ballgame, and then b.) driving in the go-ahead run in the bottom of the 9th inning. Fist bumps all around. Hugs too, for those that want one.

I gotta give some style points for the fedora (very complimentary to the stache). Plus, he grew his own just for the occasion which you can see peeking out from below the fake-stache-on-a-stick. No idea what that means, but I'm interested. Eugene is starring in a new movie called "Filth and Wisdom". Great title. Still interested. The name of his character is "A.K.". Very cool. Wednesday, September 16, 2009. Fear the Sooner Stache. When OU lost their season opener to BYU, they also lost the best QB in the game (Sam Bradford) to a shoulder injury. Enter freshman Landry Jones to fill in the gap. And enter his moustache. Thus far, he's led the Sooners to a 64-0 victory over hapless Idaho State, but bigger tests are coming down the pipe soon enough (assuming Bradford is going to be out for awhile).
