Saturday, July 5, 2014. Our sweet friends, the Hasslers, invited us over for the 4th of July. Of course we had to stop on the way there to get some fireworks. "For the kids," Tim said. Daddy and Rhys went to pick out the goodies. And I got to hang out with this handsome guy in the car! Taryn outdid herself and spoiled us with so many delicious appetizers and dishes and we all ate too much. The kids had tons of fun, too. Here is our very own patriotic band! And yes, the Hasslers also have boy/girl twins!

Monday, December 30, 2013. There has been so much going on lately, and I haven't had a chance to blog. I am loving this new, though sometimes challenging, stage of toddlerhood (2 years 9 months) we have entered. Here are a few of the things I want to remember right now. Rhett says "darken" when he is trying to say it is dark outside. He also says "stucken" for stuck, and "wettin" for wet. Tonight he told me it was raining and "windin.". He loves, loves, loves to run and play, and prefers to be outside.

Saturday, November 30, 2013. We were very excited to be able to make a trip to Kinsgville to Bdad and Gram's house for Thanksgiving this year. My in-laws have an amazing back yard. Sunday, May 3, 2015. Be Still and Know That I'm Is God. So we sang that every night for several weeks. More recently, she wanted me to sing her some new songs. Let me say that at bedtime, like most moms, my brain is DONE. I was having a hard time coming up with any song, much less one that was "new" to her. One Sunday night (after singing Be Still and Know that I am God. I pray that her heart will always remember this truth and she will go to this verse (and song) throughout her life.

I was on board. We went to the nursery where the pumpkin patch had been. They had a train ride, free roasted corn, hot chocolate and cider, a bounce house and a Santa! It was pretty cold, but we had fun anyway. So, we decorated our 3 feet tree and put up a few decorations around the apartment including our stockings.
