Sunday, October 19, 2014. Continuing the tradition. I can do it. I can do it. I can do it. Just thinking of fitting 10 more pictures in is making me tired, but now I have to. We kicked off the month pictures with a lot of smiles. The squeaky toy worked it's magic! At JC Penney's you get all of 15 minutes and 20 shots (but I spent 13 bucks so I can't complain) so it's a crap shoot if you're getting anything. She saved the money shot for the very last snap. Friday, January 02, 2015. A little Gobble Gobble. But Emmy was very specific about her turkey and his feathers. They all are exactly the same if you will notice. For Vacek Turkey Day we headed to College Station where Bob and Lynn rented a house for a few days. Everyone piled in for food and fun. Sutton even did her part by sleeping in the pack and play without waking up every ten minutes. We got to take a break and head to the game, which ended up being absolutely terrible. At 4 months Sutton is:. Chewi...

The Fisher Family Blog: Rosemary Bread
http://sheltiesrun.blogspot.com/2012/07/rosemary-bread.html
Sunday, July 1, 2012. 3 T olive oil (plus more for shaping the dough). 1 1/2 t sugar. 1 1/2 t salt. 1 1/2 t Italian seasoning. 1/4 t black pepper. 1 T chopped fresh rosemary (or 1 t dried). 2 1/2 C bread flour. 1 1/2 t active dry yeast. Bread Maker/mixer/food processor: Put into machine in the order shown above, mix on dough setting. I don’t bake it in the bread maker though because I prefer it in a round loaf. Sprinkle with parmesan and sea salt and black pepper. Bake 20 minutes at 375 and then 10 ...

The Fisher Family Blog: Trader Joes Recipe Series –2 Pollo Asada & Hatch Green Chilies with Jalapeño Cream Cheese
http://sheltiesrun.blogspot.com/2012/07/trader-joes-recipe-series-2-pollo-asada.html
Saturday, July 14, 2012. Trader Joes Recipe Series –2 Pollo Asada and Hatch Green Chilies with Jalapeño Cream Cheese. OK this one is totally cheating, but it was so good. I bought pre-marinated thinly sliced chicken breasts at Trader Joes. I know, it’s ballsy to write about using food out of a bag, but seriously it was awesome…. Omg These were so easy and so good. Best picture of the night, in my opinion…. Serving was easy, slice chicken, serve in warm tortillas. This made great left overs. Trader Joes ...

The Fisher Family Blog: Trader Joes Recipe Series – 4 Paprika Mediterranean Chicken
http://sheltiesrun.blogspot.com/2012/07/trader-joes-recipe-series-4-paprika.html
Saturday, July 14, 2012. Trader Joes Recipe Series – 4 Paprika Mediterranean Chicken. This recipe was inspired by one over on Macheesmo. But then I changed things up a little by grilling everything instead of baking it and using bone-in chicken instead of boneless breasts. 1/2 Cup olive oil. 2 cloves garlic chopped fine. Pinch of salt and pepper. Marinate the chicken all day in about 2/3 of this mixture. Add a big tablespoon of it to 1 C of plain Greek yogurt. let that sit all day too. Trader Joes Recipe...

The Fisher Family Blog: Safe and Sound
http://sheltiesrun.blogspot.com/2012/07/safe-and-sound.html
Saturday, July 21, 2012. We arrived today in Chicago and have settled in nicely into a rent house in Lincoln Park. We had a lovely Italian dinner and then found Trader Joes and a corner store all just blicks from the house. Thusly supplied with coffee, cereal, milk, wine, beer and Oreos we are back "home". Jacob is happy watching baseball with his grandpa and excited to see dinosaurs and the Egyptian section at the natural history museum tomorrow. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). The Fisher Family Blog: My Break Up With Pioneer Woman
http://sheltiesrun.blogspot.com/2012/07/my-break-up-with-pioneer-woman.html
Saturday, July 7, 2012. My Break Up With Pioneer Woman. I was on Pioneer Woman trying to figure what I could make for dinner. I saw a recipe for Pasta Primavera. But I didn’t have the ingredients. Like this special olive oil and sea salt butter, in fact it was a paid post that she put up to sell this special butter (nothing wrong with that, just saying). I thought what if I take apart the recipe and think about the actual ideas and techniques? I noticed she put the carrots in first to cook on their own, ...

The Fisher Family Blog: Chicago – Monday, Shedd Aquarium
http://sheltiesrun.blogspot.com/2012/07/chicago-monday-shedd-aquarium.html
Wednesday, July 25, 2012. Chicago – Monday, Shedd Aquarium. Our second full day in Chicago we spent at the Aquarium. Both children have recently watched A Dolphin Tale, and Anabel is particularly in love with dolphins right now. Therefore, they have been anticipating this day at the aquarium for a long time. This is the front of the museum. The first thing you come to is a tank full of rays. Here is a Chicago Dog…. Anabel saw me taking food pictures and wanted me to take one of her with her juice.

The Fisher Family Blog: March 2012
http://sheltiesrun.blogspot.com/2012_03_01_archive.html
Friday, March 30, 2012. Sometimes what you want, what you need, is comfort food. And the best comfort food of all in my opinion is homemade macaroni and cheese. This recipe is adapted from my ”Light and Easy” Cookbook, but truthfully with what I’ve changed around, it’s probably more like “Fatty and a little Cumbersome” – but still, make this, you will love it. While that cooks, mix all this in a big bowl:. 3/4 C sour cream. 15 T melted butter. As soon as the pasta cooks, right away drain it and then put...
