Divulge and Indulge: September 2016
http://divulgeandindulge.blogspot.com/2016_09_01_archive.html
Life, love, food, and all the things in-between. Sunday, September 18, 2016. Recently Read: In-Depth Reviews - September 2016 Edition. I forgot how exhausting it is to sit in conference rooms for hours. I also forgot how exhausting it is to walk around big cities. I got out early on Wednesday, and, according to Eric's Fitbit, we walked over 8 miles that afternoon/evening! I know that's nothing for some people, but we don't typically walk that. Sometimes I'll finish the last page of a book, close it, and ...

Optimization, Actually: My Version of the Minimalist Challenge - Round 1
http://www.optimizationactually.com/2015/08/my-version-of-minimalist-challenge.html
Aug 6, 2015. My Version of the Minimalist Challenge - Round 1. I saw a few people complete the minimalism challenge from Into Mind. And I was all fired up about it. "I MUST DO THIS! And then I thought about it. Maybe adding more challenges to my life is the opposite of minimalism. Because the area I could use the most decluttering in is my stack of obligations and tasks, rather than "stuff." Although there are certain areas that could use a good clear out. My Personal Minimalist (ish) Challenge. I'd gott...

Optimization, Actually: Show Us Your Books - July Reads
http://www.optimizationactually.com/2015/08/show-us-your-books-july-reads.html
Aug 11, 2015. Show Us Your Books - July Reads. I've been crummy at keeping up with book challenges, lately. Instead I kind of dove into the self help topics that I most want to work on right now: self love, body acceptance, and all things business. And there's a few fun ones, too. My last couple reads were incredible that I'm going to go in reverse order so I can talk about them first. Fat Girl Walking: Sex, Food, Love, and Being Comfortable in Your Skin. Every Inch of It ♥. I think the point that I want...

Ramblings and Reflections on Life and just being a Mom. As The Page Turns: July Edition. August 1, 2016. By Mackenzie 30 Comments. Happy last full month of summer, my friends! July included many trips to the library so let’s see what I read for the month:. Miss Peregrine’s Home For Peculiar Children by Ransom Riggs. Oh my goodness, what a fascinating book! I had heard the hoopla, I had seen the creepy Victorian pictures, I had heard they were making a movie with Eva Green, so I thought hey, why not?

Optimization, Actually: Don't Nobody Want These Genes
http://www.optimizationactually.com/2015/08/dont-nobody-want-these-genes.html
Aug 13, 2015. Don't Nobody Want These Genes. I had a goal for a while. It was an excellent goal because it combined altruism with financial gain. How can you make money but still feel like you're helping someone? So this year I thought, "Well, I'm getting close to 30 and I'm getting married soon and might want to do things that interfere with my eligibility (like be pregnant). So I'll see if they'll take me now despite the BMI.". I honestly had no expectation of being approved. And I wasn't, not dire...

Jun 30, 2015. Sugar Addiction and Binge Eating - 1 Month Check In. So this isnt exactly a fitness post, but Alyssa kindly gave me the thumbs up to link up to Training for Tuesday. Anyway. Heres the background. If you missed it, but basically about a month ago I decided to cut out a huge amount of the sugars and refined grain I consume pretty much daily. Ive actually taken it a step further. I always used to get annoyed by those people who ask, Will anyone split a with me? So yes, Ive become one of tho...

Kellibeans: Beach Scenes - 7/13
http://www.kellibeans.com/2015/07/beach-scenes-713.html
Monday, July 13, 2015. Beach Scenes - 7/13. I love watching the sunrise during the summertime. I take Salem with me and we head down to the marsh. Sometimes I leave everyone home and head to the point by myself to watch the sunrise over the barrier island next door. From painted fire hydrants and trash cans to a brightly colored door on the Mexian restaurant there's always something for Little K and I to explore. What scenes have you captured lately? Kellibeans: Small Town Fun
http://www.kellibeans.com/2015/08/small-town-fun.html
Monday, August 10, 2015. Riding around for hours with the windows down. Endless hours of conversation and our favorite songs blowing out the windows as we went. Cruising around the court house square before the former cruisers outlawed it and before gas was to expense to spend your time in a weekend traffic jam. Camping by the lake after the prom with no adult supervision, laughing into the night long after we should have been asleep. Jumping off of Jack's Bridge into the lake below. Ive always been a ci...
