Friday, June 27, 2008. I finished my exams today. 27th of June, the very last day of the whole exam period in University of Melbourne. I am so lucky to get the last shift on the last day on my first semester. My last paper was on 17th so there was 10 days in between and I actually declare holidays myself right after I finished my paper on the 17th. Nah, this is it. Friday, March 27, 2009. Hot hot chicken shit. Anyway, what I wanna blog today is actually my genetics lab session which I had yesterday. Ever wonder what a genetic student do in the fire-prone lab? The first thing we dealt with is the drosophila (fruit fly) that I mentioned in my last post. This is how it looks like when we got the specimens. They are still alive. Yup, those tiny dots are the flies. The yellow medium at the base is made out of some banana some basic nutrients that flies need to grow.
