It's coming up so fast - strange how summer slips by so quickly! The next session after that begins on Sept. 12, and will run for 6 weeks. The time, days, and location will stay the same and we'll see how long we can keep the outdoor workouts going before moving in. I am also offering a 9am class but need a minimum of 6 participants. The 9am class runs outside at my place. Kids are always welcome! Please let me know if you are planning to return for the August session or are new and want to try it out!

tannis: Abstract
http://sustainables.blogspot.com/2012/02/abstract.html
It's amazing how I can love a glaze/glaze combination on a piece, but then appreciate it in a whole new way when it's out of context. Jeremy's got such a great eye for the abstract. I hope he posts some of these on flickr eventually, but for now here are a few of my favourites. A fun and productive combining of our talents. Almost like creating children, but not quite. It is a pretty cool combination. Well be geeking out on this stuff long after the real children have moved out. I hope. A Life In Progress.

Right, actual learning doesn't come easily, and being a good teacher is hard. I was stressed most of yesterday and had a crappy night worrying about teaching a class this morning. Then I got mad at myself for being ridiculous about it, which also kept me up. It's not rocket science, it's a. One hour fitness class. I got great feedback about areas to focus on and ways to do it, so why does it feel crummy? Side note: If/when I find myself in the role of evaluator, I love giving people a chance to share the...

tannis: I can't do it all (and stay sane).
http://sustainables.blogspot.com/2012/05/i-cant-do-it-all.html
I can't do it all (and stay sane). Amen to that Tannis. Ive been working on this type of balance for a while now too. It seems that no matter what your life looks like right now, nearly every mom Ive talked to is feeling the strain of imbalance in their lives. Hope you find that sweet spot soon. It can be so draining when you are searching for it. Whos going to do it all around here if you stop doing it all? Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). View my complete profile. A Life In Progress.

This is a draft post I made a few weeks ago for the Tyson Method. Member site, but it never did get posted there. For all of the lovely ladies I met there, this is the thank you you deserve. A special shout out to all the trainers I've had the pleasure of getting to know - rock those Bruce Lee's! Through this process, I’ve come to a tough decision to move on from the Tyson Method in order to free up more time and energy to pursue some of those ideas. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). The fall class schedule has been finalized - please note slight changes in time and a switch to W/F instead of M/W. This is due to hall availability and I hope it doesn't cause too much inconvenience! September 14 – Oct 21. 125 - 12 classes. Local parks, my yard (depending on class size) and/or the IOOF Hall. It's been a long week with my wee boy. I've been feeling like a failure of a parent who is raising a sociopath. No regard for the pain of others (mostly sisters) and kicking strangers at random in stores. He totally turns on the charm to a cheesy degree when he knows I'm angry. Links to this post. Travel Status Updates that didn't get posted. Or there may have been an "f".not good for mileage or relaxation. Melville SK. Huh, who knew? What's an extra 64km when all you have is time and a wiggy 3 year old?

To a genuinely well meaning friend/acquaintence/family member: An advance apology. It's not your fault that you happened to be the unlucky person to ask me what I am doing with all my free time on the day I snapped. Here's an outline of how it's been spent, in case anyone has been (justifiably) afraid to ask. Update: It's morning, the sun came out for a while and I've learned (again) that blogging when I'm tired is a bad idea. Putting on the yellow hat. Links to this post. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).
