Most cellular pathology specimens are classified as ‘Biological Substance, Category B’ and as such should be handled and packaged in accordance with UN3373 regulations. The packaging of samples which are to be sent to TPS should adhere to the following guidelines:. Primary: The specimen container should be of at least 3x the maximum dimension of the specimen. The specimen MUST be completely immersed in appropriate fixative (optimum is 10x the volume of the specimen). REQUEST FORMS / SPECIMEN LABELLING.

The referring clinicians also have direct access to the consultant pathologist reporting their case for advice and discussion. We offer comprehensive immunohistochemistry interpretation which complements the traditional routine pathology service. This partly involves the use of specialist laboratories which must also be CPA-accredited.

Our plan is to walk the whole of the Thames Path - 184 miles from its source in the Cotswolds, near Kemble in Gloucestershire, to its end at the Thames Barrier at Woolwich. In stages (of course!
