May 28, 2015. DIY Knotted Leather Pearls. Ready for something easy? This project just takes two materials and requires nothing more complicated than knowing how to tie a knot! This is piece is also incredibly versatile- you can wear it any number of ways as a necklace or wrapped around your wrist for a bracelet. Read on for the how-to. 25 yards of 1.5mm round leather cord. 12mm pearls with at least a 2mm hole. I used 16 pearls). You can wear it as a wrap bracelet or loosely draped like a lariat necklace.

After clearing out the stock of 1/4 inch compression sleeves at both hardware stores in my area, I hopped the metro to the suburbs to hit up Home Depot with a friend and this rainbow of DIY hardware store bracelets was born. They take only minutes to create, so it's hard to resist making so many! 6 inches of 1/4 inch rope.
