Wednesday, October 27, 2010. Was that Google wasn’t “quite sure how users would respond to this radically different kind of communication.” I suspect that they developed a product that was exciting to the tech crowd but maybe a bit too much for the rest of the Google universe. They attempted to generate buzz using exclusivity tactics, but ultimately couldn’t reach enough committed users. And Web 2.0. Even though Web 2.0. My husband’s current favorite is Ayumi Horie. And Web 2.0. All of this is making me ...

Ugh - you have to do more than click save now. SO below you will find my post:. Facebook is adhering to The Checklist of Techniques provided (p.58) in Dr. Howard's Designed to Thrive. And follow the steps one by one and hope I will in turn create a requirement that will provide remuneration (can you provide remuneration?

http://jrbingham.blogspot.com/2010/09/blogging.html
Wednesday, September 29, 2010. I came across this article about blogging. Today It focuses on creating an institutional blog, but has a lot of good points about getting and keeping a reader's attention (only one of which I used in this particular post). Posted by Jen Bingham. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Why I don’t buy from Zappos. Its not technology, its what you do with it. Letters from a Scribe. Leave Them Wanting More. Digital Publishing: October 2010
http://jduke-digitalpublishing.blogspot.com/2010_10_01_archive.html
Tuesday, October 26, 2010. Then that school was allowed to get on Facebook. Awesome! Except now my friends down in P&A can't get on Facebook. Well crap. Again, I'm in the "in-crowd" and my friends aren't. Oh look! They've opened up Facebook so EVERYONE can be part of the "in-crowd! That's about all I can think of saying about significance in Facebook without going on a full-blown exposition that could take days to read, so I think here is a good place to stop. Monday, October 18, 2010. If we could come u...

Wednesday, September 29, 2010. Belonging - From Italy to facebook. I think they need a pop-up window to let you know that you've merely saved your post and not quite yet published it.*. The next topic Dr. Howard talks about is stories of origin (p. 131). In our group we discussed what we were doing in Italy (taking classes), why we chose Florence instead of Rome (can anyone say fashion capitol of Italy? The final topic that Dr. Howard discusses in his chapter on belonging is protocols, routines, and ...

Monday, October 4, 2010. Viral Infections of the Video Variety. The reading for this week, Bourne's Web Video. A lot of people have no idea that the department is down there or even what the department does. Let me explain what we do: everything; sports, documentaries, morning news-type shows, whatever you can imagine. We even work with big time Hollywood groups from time to time. One thing we didn't do while I was there, however, was create web videos. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Tharon's Though...

Digital Publishing Readings: September 2010
http://reedchewning.blogspot.com/2010_09_01_archive.html
Sunday, September 26, 2010. How do we find our place (Belong) in the digital world…. I want to first take a moment to thank Dr. Howard for making his readings enjoyable. I have read quite a few research articles this week and I certainly appreciate the ease and aptness of these readings. 8221; My answer is you don’t – so you keep trying in hopes that you eventually do. Can a friend request be out there too long without being answered? Then is it a battle of who has the last word? I want to belong. If...

Monday, August 23, 2010. Reading Response - Storytelling. Storytelling has been an essential component since humans began to communicate. Stories serve various purposes and provide diverse outcomes. For the most part we use stories to convince or support our position. Stories allow us to illustrate our point more completely. Stories can persuade you to make decision, build resentment, or inspire a change. The question is how do you know the story you tell will have the desired outcome? My First Blog Post.

Digital Publishing Readings: YouTube number 2
http://reedchewning.blogspot.com/2010/10/youtube-number-2.html
Wednesday, October 20, 2010. I recently learned (I am not sure where) that YouTube trails behind Google as the most popular search engine. I must admit, while the reading provided some insight as to how these search engines make money - I am still a bit lost. The math became too much for me and all I could think as I read - is how did they know it would work? That is a big gamble! What do the creators of blogger.com get from us using their site to post our reading responses? Chapter 7 - confirmed I fall ...
