Saturday, 29 December 2012. The painting and gluing has begun. Painting and gluing has begun. I have to say, hats off to Mr McQueen because this caravan is very straightforward to put together and could be put together in a very short time indeed if one did not have to endure time consumed while waiting for paint and glue to dry. I tried painting these plastic windows, I believe it will work but not for the door windown which must be re-made a-new. This and the pic below are the main body coming together.

Mind that rusty looking stove now, its been well used ;). Friday, 8 March 2013. Hello mini friends…. The caravan is moving forward… I decided against adding the wheels yet because I thought I may break them when trying to kit out the interior. So I continued with my transfers. I popped on the door frames inside and out. Next I decided I’d tackle the slightly daunting task of gluing on tiles around the stove area. I have made the roof now and although I did want windows up top like a real one, I chickened out due to lack of time and lack of skill in woodwork. Thatch Cottage is situated on Gold Hill in Shaftesbury. This hill is more famously known as 'Hovis Hill' as this was where the advert for Hovis bread was filmed in the 1970s.
